Michael Jackson News / Jedward to open Michael Jackson museum
« on: July 19, 2011, 03:39:39 AM »
X Factor stars John and Edward Grimes have revealed that they want to open a museum to pop legend Michael Jackson.

The Irish twins told a tabloid newspaper that they have spent some of their showbiz fortune on acquiring loads of memorabilia devoted to the King of Pop.

Jedward told the Daily Star that they have enough items to open a museum.

They are quoted as saying: "I've got Michael Jackson's autograph more than 20 times.

"I've spent thousands on his things including bed sheets, his sister Janet's leather jacket, I even tried bidding on his This Is It Tour wig.

"I'd love to open a museum."

The brothers also confessed that they have also been collecting other showbiz memorabilia.

They added: "I've also got the outfit Britney Spears wore in the Pepsi advert and Jim Carrey's Riddler costume from the Batman film."

La Toya Jackson writes in her new book "Starting Over" that the first question that ran through her mind after she learned of her brother's death was, "Who killed Michael?"

The book is scheduled to go on sale next week, two years after the pop star's death of a sedative overdose. Dr. Conrad Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter, and trial is set for September.

La Toya Jackson says her brother often predicted he would be killed over his estate and music publishing catalog.

She also says she learned a lot about Michael's well-being in the days before his death. His daughter Paris told her that "Daddy was always cold" and that "he would always cry."

La Toya Jackson writes that she confronted Dr. Conrad Murray in the hospital shortly after her brother was pronounced dead to find out what happened and that he gave her only "evasion and excuses."

She also writes that she searched Jackson's bedroom and found it "torn to pieces," with furniture overturned and items scattered about. They included notes she believes were written by Michael indicating that he needed his father Joseph's help to get "these people out of my life" and that he "only agreed to 10 shows."

When he died on June 25, 2009, Jackson was a few weeks away from kicking off a string of 50 shows at The O2 Arena in London. Originally only 10 concerts were announced, but tickets sold out in less than an hour and 40 more shows were added.

La Toya Jackson writes that she heard from other people in Michael's life who were suspicious of his final days, including friends and fans.

She won't be the last of her family to share their story. Brother Jermaine Jackson has a book coming out in September.

Michael Jackson News / Charlie Sheen Dead
« on: July 19, 2011, 03:33:25 AM »
Despite rumors to the contrary, actor Charlie Sheen is not actually dead.

Perhaps it’s his Tiger Blood or Adonis DNA, but Sheen remains alive and well despite his penchant for coke, hookers and chain smoking and the recent departure of both of his goddesses. The tall tale germinated on Twitter yesterday, and a fake MSNBC story that joined the chain of re-tweets worried some fans and lent credence to the “Charlie Sheen is dead” panic.

Someone over at ContactMusic witnessed the Twitter panic firsthand:

One user re-tweeted a fake Msnbc story that read, “Charlie Sheen was found dead in his Beverly Hills early this morning, causes of his death are currently unknown” (sic), but a fan of the actor attempted to put the story to bed, tweeting, “Charlie Sheen is not dead! he just sent me a tweet RT.”

The blog theorizes that rumors of Sheen’s death sprang from his character’s planned death on Two and a Half Men, but the existence of a fake news story points to a more deliberate death hoax origin. Charlie Sheen managed to bang out several tweets during the height of the death rumors yesterday, even proposing an “I’ll do anything” party in Vegas

TMZ Articles / Michael Jackson Death Trial Postponed
« on: May 16, 2011, 02:06:45 AM »
(RTTNews) - Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial for the death of Michael Jackson will be delayed until September.

The case has been delayed after Murray requested more time for his legal team to prepare for the new prosecution witnesses that will be called to testify. Due to the delay, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will be dismissing prospective jurors until the trial starts in September.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the King of Pop. The prosecution claims that Murray administered a lethal dose of the drug propofol to the singer and then attempted to cover up the overdose.

Murray's team, however, maintains that the singer self-administered the overdose of the drug when Murray left the room.

Michaels young children and family members including mother Katherine and sister Janet are set to be called as witnesses at DR. Conrad Murray's upcoming involuntary manslaughter trial, according to a U.S. report.

The physician stands accused of administering the powerful dose of anaesthetic Propofol which led to the King of Pop's death in June, 2009.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and is due to stand trial in May (11), and a document, obtained by Tmz.com, has revealed new details about proceedings.

In the papers, more than 100 potential witnesses are listed - including the Thriller icon's three children Prince Michael, 14, Paris, 13, and nine-year-old Blanket.

Other family members set to take the stand include Jackson's mum and dad, Katherine and Joe, and siblings Jackie, Janet, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy, Rebbie and Tito.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor is still searching for impartial jurors to hear the case, and the legal paper also reveals potential jurors face extensive quizzing of their opinions about Jackson, celebrities and medication before being appointed

Michael Jackson News / Michael Jackson Autopsy Photo Dismissal
« on: April 08, 2011, 12:35:25 PM »
Lawyers representing Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray have filed an official request to have "gruesome" photographs of the superstar's corpse ruled ineligible for use at his upcoming trial.

The medic is set to stand trial next month (May11) over accusations he administered the powerful dose of anaesthetic Propofol which caused the King of Pop's death in June 2009. Murray has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

His attorneys have now filed a motion with Los Angeles Superior Court asking for pictures taken during Jackson's autopsy to be ruled out of trial evidence, alleging the shots will prejudice the jury.

The court papers, obtained by the Los Angeles Times, state, "These photographs are graphic, gruesome and highly prejudicial... Admission of these photographs to the jurors will jeopardise Dr. Murray's right to a fair trial because of the significant risk that the jury will base their decision not on the evidence presented, but on emotional grounds which play no part in a criminal action."

Murray's legal team has also asked for the court not to hear mention of the physician's personal life, deeming it irrelevant to the proceedings: "The prosecution's case involves the treatment and care of Michael Jackson provided by Dr. Murray. It is not about the existence and number of children Dr. Murray has, or about his personal sexual relationship with women."

Judge Michael Pastor scheduled a hearing for the requests on 21 April (11http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/conrad-murrays-lawyers-ask-for-michael-jackson-autopsy-photo-dismissal_1211725

Embattled celebrity physician DR. Conrad Murray's lawyers are out to prove Michael Jackson was responsible for his own death after requesting fingerprint evidence to support allegations the King of Pop injected himself with the drug that killed him.

The medic stands accused of administering the fatal dose of Propofol which led to Jackson's death in June 2009 and is due to face trial in May (11).

He has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and his lawyers are now set to argue Murray wasn't even holding the needle when he was said to have injected his most famous client with the drug, according to Tmz.com.

During a Los Angeles court hearing on Wednesday (16Mar11), Murray's legal team requested experts at the Fbi deliver a first generation fingerprint of a broken syringe detectives found at the scene of the alleged crime.

Tmz.com reports Murray has denied breaking the needle and his lawyers are convinced the evidence is key to the investigation, claiming Jackson injected himself while the doctor was out of the room.

Meanwhile, it emerged this week (begs14Mar11) that surveillance video footage from Jackson's California home on the day he died has reportedly been accidentally erased after police officers allegedly failed to make a full copy. Detectives initially probing Jackson's death are said to have copied just four minutes of footage, which shows nothing but the singer arriving home

TMZ Articles / Michael Jackson Surveillance Footage 'Deleted'
« on: March 16, 2011, 09:43:01 AM »
Surveillance footage from Michael Jackson's home on the day he died has reportedly been lost forever after police officers allegedly failed to make a full copy.

The pop superstar passed away on 25 June, 2009 after suffering a drug overdose and his personal doctor, Conrad Murray, is facing trial over allegations he administered the fatal dose of Propofol.

Murray, who has denied a charge of involuntary manslaughter, will face the courts in May (11) and his legal team is reportedly set to ask officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (Lapd) to hand over 24 hours of surveillance footage from Jackson's home covering the day he died.

Shortly after the King of Pop's passing, cops were said to be desperately searching for the Cctv tapes from Jackson's Los Angeles mansion which could provide clues as to what happened on the day he died, but a new report suggests the film will never be found.

Police initially probing Jackson's death are said to have copied just four minutes of footage, which showed the singer arriving home, before handing the tapes back. They were then reportedly put back into the security system which erased them as part of a 24 hour loop, according to Tmz.com
