MICHAEL JACKSON’S family is bringing joy to his three children by celebrating a traditional Christmas, even though most of their relatives shun the Christian holiday.

Grandmother and guardian Katherine Jackson, 79, is a devout Jehovah’s Witness. But a source said yesterday: “She’s determined to give Michael’s kids a normal time.”

And Jackson’s brother Jermaine, 55, who converted to Islam, is allowing his two youngest children, Jaafar, 13, and Jermajesty, nine, to join in the festivities.

They have become “extremely close” to Michael’s children Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, seven, since the legend died six months ago.

A tree was delivered to the family compound in the LA suburb of Encino last week.

The Vienna/London Tribute / Re: London tribute 2010 for Jackson cancelled
« on: December 20, 2009, 05:41:43 AM »
its so simple promote a tribute concert as this would keep michael/jacksons in the spotlight just as the news is dieing down annouce a tour/tribute so people start talking again and then he probs chose a company that couldnt pull it off so it didnt have to go ahead its the best excuse for no tribute i dont think a tribute is ever gonna take place its all talk to keep michael in the spotlight until hes ready to return,no one annouces a tribute concert until its all wrapped up and ready to rock, seems things are hotting up for michael again what with move it like michael tv series also theres a michael day on channel five and skyone on monday with all sorts of programmes about him.

Michael Jackson News / Michael Jackson's brothers share grief on tv show
« on: December 16, 2009, 09:03:14 PM »
They asked to be given some time to grieve the loss of their brother Michael.
And now, six months after his death, Michael Jackson's brothers have decided to share the emotional and intimate scenes from the day they buried their brother.
Although they held a very public memorial service so the world could say goodbye to the pop superstar, the Jackson family kept his actual funeral ceremony private between them and 200 specially invited guests But now, that intimate day with the late singer's fans, has been shared with fans and viewers across the US as part of the Jackson brothers' new reality TV show, 'The Jack5ons: A Family Dynasty'.
The emotional scenes, which aired on the first episode in the US last night, showed the family at the private service at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles.
In one, Michael's younger pop star singer Janet looks tired and emotional as she is shown to her seat, while in another, the brothers, all wearing dark sunglasses, gather round as they get ready to say their last farewells to MichaelAnother scene shows the family and friends of the late star take their seats by Michael's coffin as the service begins.
The six-episode series, which began filming earlier this year,  then follows the remaining members of the Jackson 5 - Tito, Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon - as the four of them started making plans for a Jackson 5 reunion tour to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Motown group.
But after Michael's unexpected and sudden death on June 25 at the age of 50, they hadn't just lost their beloved brother, but also their lead singer, although it is still unclear whether Michael was intending to join them for the reunionAlthough it began filming before his death, Michael does not appear in the show and was actually rehearsing for his own comeback concerts in London at the time.
It instead focuses on the the four other members of the Jackson 5 as they met for dance rehearsals and follows them to recording studios and back to their humble beginnings in Gary, Indiana.
The programme also shows how they individually dealt with Michael's death and the aftermath.
Jackie is seen breaking down in tears as he remembers hearing about Michael's death on his car radio. And Jermaine Jackson said he was still finding it hard to listen to the band's old music. He said: 'I think about Michael every moment. We will never be the Jackson 5 again.'
And he justified the decision to carry on filming the documentary after Michael died, and said: 'We are doing what he would want us to do. This is the best connection we have with the fans who want so much more from the family.
'For so many years we have never revealed who we really are. You knew us on stage, but (now) we get a chance to be ourselves off stage.'
Producers said fans would have the entire series to find out whether the brothers decide to go ahead with the reunionExecutive producer Jodi Gomes, said: 'That is a surprise ending...so you have to stay tuned for that. The guys live all of those answers out on camera.'
And he denied reports that they had intended to have Michael's three young children - Prince Michael Joseph, 12, Paris Katherine, 11 and seven-year-old Blanket - appear on the TV show,
Citing respect for Michael's efforts to keep them away from the media spotlight during his life, Gomes said: 'There was never any intention to put Michael's children on the show before or after his death.'

Michael Jackson was a legend – one of the world's most successful singers and an amazing dancer too. Tonight, to celebrate the greatest performer in the history of pop, who died earlier this year, BBC Three begins the search for the UK's best dance act – someone who can move as well as Michael in his prime.Hosted by Reggie Yates, this unique contest has dancers battling it out to win an amazing opportunity – to perform with the world's superstars at the Michael Jackson official tribute concert in 2010. Dance Experts travel from the streets of Glasgow to the playing fields of Cardiff and from the bus stops of Manchester to the shopping malls of London to find the UK's best dancers.Solo performers, duos and crews all attempt to dance their way to a place in the studio shows, but first they have to impress legendary choreographer Lavelle Smith Junior, who worked with Michael for more than 20 years, and Mark Summers, who had been tasked with finding the UK's most talented dancers for Michael Jackson's This Is It tour. The best are invited to call backs – it's their final chance to win a place in the studio shows and perform for Jermaine Jackson – Michael's brother – as well as singer Jamelia.

Reggie goes to America to meet those who worked with Michael and find out exactly why he was the king of dance. The day starts with 25 acts, but only eight will make it through to the studio shows.

Monday 14 December
9.30-10.30pm BBC THREE

References & Similarities / Re: Michael said goodbye
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:36:46 PM »
what is there left to say he was here one day and gone the next i refuse to believe he has left this world only on the facts that i know he was preparing for a tour here in london and bam he was gone, was he ill was he well i believe this was all pre planned from the moment he thought lets annouce a tour despite the fact he was out the limelight for some time after the trial that would get people talking and shoot him back into the spot light? circulate illness and drug addiction stories so death could be blamed on that? the greastest entertainer that ever lived never even got an oficial death announcement from the hospital and from that moment on i knew it wasnt right non of it was  i had tickets to the concerts and the money wasnt even an issue i just wanted the man,so much so that i cant even step foot in the 02 ever again no matter who is preforming there,i believe these concerts were goin to be his last before he went into retirement he wanted to give his kids a show and show them who he really was,i want to believe hes gone for good but i cant because of all the inconsistences in the story.
