Michael Jackson News / Michael Jackson's Vision - Blood on the Dancefloor
« on: November 20, 2010, 11:06:19 AM »
For some strange reason the version on the DVD is the "Refugee Camp" Remix, which I, personally don't actually like. Although the video is the same as the regular version released in 2007, it is however an extra minute or so longer, but there's no new scenes.

(For those who don't know "Refugee Camp" is sometimes another name for the 'Fugees' or artists affiliated with them, in particular Wyclef Jean)

I have no idea why they would use this version rather than the original, in my view this lets the collection down as the rest of the videos all contain the original album/video versions of the songs (with the exception of 'Another Part of Me', which is mixed together from Live Concert performance footage and audio.)

Other Odd Things / Breaking News - Two Pairs of Shoes? lol
« on: November 11, 2010, 08:50:41 AM »
Something I found a little strange and completely unrelated to anything, the background image on the Breaking News site shows two pairs of Michael's shoes and a lot of stardust

(Unfortunately the images are two wide to post here, if someone can be bothered to save them and shrink them to repost that would be helpful.)

Just thought this is something light to take away from all the serious discussion to do with the track itself. I kinda hope no-one manages to make a big deal out of this!

It's the same track, it sounds different some times because of the way it is streaming and the quality jumps up and down depending on this, however the pitch, tone, instrumentation, vocals and sounds have not and do not change depending on how many times you listen to it.

You may think it sounds different after listening to the accapella version because your brain has adjusted to listen to particular features in the solo voice in the main track that you did not hear before. It is almost like making the vocal stand out more than before, but it still the same track.

This is why people doubted it was michael originally, listened to the accapella (which they believed was him) and now when they re-listen to it, say "it's michael now", they must have dubbed it in, (which they haven't, it's been there all along.)

It's just HIStory IN THE MIX

In my opinion, the lead singer of this song is definately Michael Jackson without a doubt and he is also doing some backing parts, but I think there are also several other backing singers and maybe two other "understudy, or doubling lead singers" for pre-chorus/chorus sections.

From AOL Today: UK

"Robbie Williams has revealed that he's been battling a mystery illness that leaves him feeling "lethargic and depressed""

Now here's the screencap of the news...
[attachment=0:21e9ynkp]robbie williams.jpg[/attachment:21e9ynkp]
Below is the interview with Robbie and it doesn't mention Michael at all, although it does Elvis.

"In an interview with Magic 105.4FM, due to air on Sunday, Robbie explained: "I thought I was lethargic and depressed as a person. I thought that was my make-up.

"I found out a few months ago that I'd been ill, completely by mistake, and I don't want to go into the whys and wherefores but what I had made you lethargic and depressed and I'd had it for years and not known and I'm on treatment for it. It's changed my life."

So far we have yet to discover what this mystery illness is but now that he's back on track, he's happy to tell all about his wild past.

Robbie revealed that when he fell out with his Take That bandmates, he went off the rails and ended up with a £500,000 debt and an alcohol problem.

On dealing with his then superstar status, he said: "I don't think anybody's responded to it particularly well when they get to a certain level.

"Elton John went mental, Elvis went mental, I went mental. Everybody at some point, at some stage, goes bonkers."

Since Robbie's putting himself on the same level as Elton John and Elvis, we're wondering just how strong the medication for this mysterious illness really is."
