I must be an idiot, because i watched it and didnt notice any connections... I cant wait untill more people watch it, and see what else they find

No your not an idiot    I watched it twice  and I don't see any connection. I'm an old school Johnny Depp fan (all the way back to Nightmare on Elm St & 21 Jump Street). He was good looking in the 80's and still is now    It looked like Johnny in costume all the way through to me. Johnny has played alot of weird made-up characters.

I'm not sure what others think they are seeing, but most definitely to me it was Johnny, but that's just my opinion .

Wow - I have to see this film. Good posts - they must be having some fun with all of this - can you imagine Johnny in orange pants?
I have seen the interview with him & Tim and the one thing that stood out was that Tim wanted him to go through a description of all the hats & Johnny didn't understand but did it anyway.
Does that mean anything other than the obvious hat throwing etc?

Consciousness expresses itself through creation.
Dancers come and go in a twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on.
I\'ve felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.
I become the stars and the moon.
The creator and creation merge into one wholeness of joy.

Sun comes up on this new morning
Shifting shadows, a songbird sings
And if you feel alone, I'll be your shoulder
With a tender touch, you know me so well
Somebody once said, it's the soul that matters
Baby, who can really tell when two hearts belong so well

Sorry just my opinion, I don't think Johnny was in TII. His face is wider than the faces in TII. I think it was def. Johnny in Alice in Wonderland & MJ in TII. Johnny puts himself into all of his characters, he's a very creative man. Perhaps he's the fan of MJ & the little twist he gave to the Mad Hatter was his own little tribute to MJ. & Maybe MJ was a big fan of Alice in Wonderland which is why he had paintings of himself as the Mad Hatter, he maybe even saw himself as the Mad Hatter at times. & maybe Tim Burton was a MJ fan. I really do think that's definitely Johnny's face in the movie though, as it is wider than Michael's a little bit, he was just wearing makeup & they probably tweeked him a little bit to give him a different look like he belongs in that fairytale world. The dance in Alice in Wonderland though, sooo MJ & the hat throwing  :o But Johnny all the way, I'm a huge fan, I've studied that face for years.  LOL

To add onto what I said before about maybe Johnny being a fan of MJ. I wonder if MJ was a fan of Johnny's? I'm sure he watched his movies. Maybe they even knew each other? Johnny takes roles in movies that MJ would like: Neverland, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, etc. & Johnny has always said he puts a bit of himself into all of his characters, in Alice & Wonderland his dances very similar to MJ & throws his hat like MJ. They may have been fans of each other or knew each other & respected each other's work.

"Call the man
Who deals in love beyond repair
He can heal the world
Of hearts in need of care
Shine a light ahead
When the next step is unclear
Call the man
He\'s needed here"

In Pirates, Johnny reminds me of Freddie Mercury, the same gestures ... Besides, I think Johnny's ability to transform ... I almost never admit in his films ... So there for me this is not really a clue. There are coincidences, but that's all. From my point of view.

Sorry if it's bad english, i've made this with google it's maybe a bad idea!
