Thank you for the picture. This is the eclipse of January 4th isn't it. Did you take the picture yourself? A nice one! Because of the green filter the eclipse looks more mysterious now. When a howling werewolf appears in the picture the scene will be perfect :lol: Sorry I was a bit driven by fantasy I guess :oops:  :lol:

Hi everlastinglove, you are kind.

Yes, I love astrophotography, it’s  a great passion, as the great passion for Michael; the Universe is so attractive, it’s full of mystery and so beautiful. That day I was very very lucky, because a cloud was going to cover the Sun and, among many pictures, just that one was good. A lucky moment indeed.
Eh yeah... green filter, now I am thinking about the green man…green guy….green screen: it’s just a coincidence, a funny coincidence.

Actually I think we’re not off topic, hasn’t Michael always been fascinated by space, the universe, Star Wars?
Wow, astrophotography, that is a great hobby. You got to know about both photography & astronomy and do you have a space telescope? Awesome experience and magical images I guess.
Last year I bought a SLR camera and photography started to be my hobby, but I’m just an amateur. 1/4 of the pictures aren’t clear, because I didn’t focus right, I’ve to practice more and  I’m thinking of having a photography course (when I got the time). I love to watch the falling stars and I sometimes try to catch one with the camera, to get closer to it, of course I fail.

I found this amazing image, which you may have seen already, if not hope you’ll enjoy

The supernova explosion of this star was witnessed in 1054. The Hubble Space Telescope captured an image of the remnants of the star -- now called the Crab Nebula -- in 2005.
