She puts on the T-shirt just before she wanders into a house of a mirrors — a decision that will imprint on the character’s life forever. This “Thriller” throwback surfaces shortly after HBO’s documentary “Leaving Neverland,” centered around Jackson’s alleged sexual abuse of underage boys. The film lead to many fans calling for a boycott of Michael Jackson’s music. Did the current controversy create a conversation between the studio and the director? “No,” Peele told Variety’s Elizabeth Wagmeister earlier this week at the New York City premiere of “Us.” “No, we start in the eighties and it’s an image of well documented duality and the film is about duality,” Peele said, adding that this nod is, “a tone-setter, and I think it sets a chilling tone, but one of much duality.” One of the film’s central themes is human duality and the battle between good and evil. “This movie is about the fact that we are our own worst enemy,” Peele told Variety earlier this month at the South by Southwest premiere of the film. In the present day, a now adult Adelaide heads to her family's beach house in Santa Cruz with her husband Gabe Wilson and their children, Zora and Jason. Adelaide, remembering the traumatic incident from her youth, is apprehensive about the trip; Gabe, eager to impress their friends Josh and Kitty Tyler, purchases a boat and brushes off Adelaide's concerns. At the beach, Jason wanders off and sees a man in a red jumpsuit standing alone in the sand with his arms outstretched and blood dripping from his hands. He does not tell his family about the man, but later draws a picture of him. Later that night, a strange family of four appears in the driveway of the beach house. Gabe attempts to intimidate them, but they attack him and break into the home. The Wilsons realize that the four intruders are doppelgängers of themselves, led by Adelaide's double, Red. Each of them are wearing the same jumpsuit as the man on the beach, and Jason's doppelgänger Pluto is wearing a white skintight mask. Red, the only doppelgänger who speaks, tells the Wilsons the story of a girl who lives a happy life while her shadow suffers. The family is then separated by their opposites: Red makes Adelaide handcuff herself to a table, Zora is pursued out of the house by Umbrae, Gabe is dragged outside and onto the boat by Abraham, and Jason is sent to "play" with Pluto in a closet. While chasing Zora, Umbrae is interrupted by an investigating neighbor, whom she stabs with a pair of golden scissors; this distraction allows Zora to escape. Gabe is able to kill Abraham with his boat's malfunctioning motor, while Jason discovers that Pluto mirrors his actions almost exactly. Jason is able to distract Pluto with a magic trick and escapes, leaving Pluto locked in the closet. Red is drawn to Pluto's cries, allowing Adelaide time to break free. The family regroups and escapes on Gabe's boat. Meanwhile, the Tylers are also murdered by a set of doubles shortly before the Wilsons arrive. The Wilsons kill the Tylers' doubles and turn on the local news to see that millions of doppelgängers, who call themselves "the Tethered", have been committing murders against their real counterparts throughout the United States. The doppelgängers subsequently join hands together to form a massive human chain, which the newscasters speculate is a form of protest. The Wilsons drive away in the Tylers' car until they are attacked by Umbrae, who is killed after being launched into a tree following a skirmish on top of the vehicle. As day breaks, the Wilsons arrive at the Santa Cruz boardwalk, where they find their own abandoned car on fire. Pluto has set a trap to kill the Wilsons by lighting a gasoline trail to the Tylers' car, but Jason, remembering that Pluto mirrors his every move, walks backward so that Pluto steps into the burning car and is killed. Red then reappears and abducts Jason. While Zora and Gabe recuperate in an abandoned ambulance, Adelaide returns to the boardwalk funhouse and walks through a secret tunnel in the hall of mirrors. This leads to an underground facility overrun by rabbits, where Adelaide finds Red. Red states that the Tethered were created by the U.S. government in an attempt to control the public, but the experiment failed and the Tethered were abandoned underground. For generations, the Tethered were trapped beneath the surface, doing nothing but mimicking the actions of their above-ground counterparts until Red organized them to escape. The two fight and Adelaide manages to kill Red. She finds Jason hidden in a nearby locker and promises him that things will return to normal. The family reunites and drives away in the ambulance. As they leave town, Adelaide thinks back to the night she first met Red in the funhouse, revealing that she is, in fact, one of the Tethered, and had taken Adelaide's place in the surface world after knocking her out and trapping her in the underground complex. NE-YO DON'T COMPARE R. KELLY TO MJ, PLEASE ... ONLY PROOF FOR 1 OF 'EM Ne-Yo doesn't think allegations against R. Kelly are comparable to allegations against Michael Jackson -- they're worse. We got the R&B singer Wednesday night at LAX ... and he jumped on the comparison, noting, unlike R. Kelly, there was no video evidence of Michael Jackson abusing anyone. Ne-Yo also claimed some of Jackson's accusers recanted after the singer's death. He did not mention that Jackson paid $20 million to settle the sexual assault lawsuit filed by Jordan Chandler's parents. You are not allowed to view links.

He now regrets it and says he sees things differently now that he has a daughter. MJ is the subject of a new documentary premiering at Sundance detailing his alleged sexual abuse of little boys, something that has enraged the Michael Jackson Estate. THE actor who brought Freddie Mercury back to life on the big screen is now tipped to play Michael Jackson. ![]() Rami Malek is among the favourites to land a Golden Globe tonight and an Oscar next month for his portrayal of the Queen frontman. His movie Bohemian Rhapsody has already become the highest earning music biopic in history, taking more than £565million so far. And it has received such rave reviews that Jackson’s family are insisting Rami plays the Thriller star in a new film. A draft of the movie has been penned, reportedly with the approval of Jackson’s estate. It is being offered to the highest bidder among the major studios. The Best 'Masked Singer' Fan Theories for Mystery Performers on Wild and Weird Premiere ![]() The judges guessed Lady Gaga and Hugh Jackman ... but we're being a little more realistic. "The Masked Singer" had Twitter going crazy on Wednesday night, as six mystery celebrities sang their hearts out while donning some totally insane getups. It was up to the show's judges -- Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeung -- to try and guess who was hiding under those masks after they all performed, but we have a feeling most of their predictions were way off base. There's no way people like Hugh Jackman, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber would ever pop up on this show, but that didn't stop the judges from dropping their names throughout the premiere. At the end of the hour, the weakest performer of the bunch was revealed to be Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown, who sang Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" while dressed as a hippo. Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch at risk as California fire rages THE California wildfires are raging towards Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch as thousands are evacuated from homes on the west coast. Officials have ordered the mass evacuation of the California beachside community of Malibu as a massive wildfire rages towards it. The fire broke out Thursday northwest of Los Angeles and roared southward, jumping the US 101 freeway early Friday and sweeping into the Santa Monica Mountains. The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the fire is headed to the ocean, punctuating the message with the declaration: "Imminent threat!" That and another wildfire raging west of Los Angeles had already forced thousands of people to leave their homes. The flames are being driven by Southern California's notorious Santa Ana winds. Kanye Just Misses It President Trump was surrounded by a ton of music greats at the White House Thursday morning, as he signed a new law that will benefit many of them ... but Kanye West was not in on the fun. POTUS signed the Music Modernization Act with John Rich, Kid Rock and several other artists standing by to make speeches about the new law, and also to witness the actual signing. It all went down moments before Kanye's luncheon with 45 was scheduled to begin, so everyone expected Ye to join the other artists ... but he got to the White House juuuust a bit late. As we told you ... Kanye is there now -- he didn't come empty-handed -- and the lunch meeting with the Prez, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Jim Brown is set to begin. Register or LoginInteresting moments: Naomi Campbell introduces Janet (we know of Naomi and Michael's connection from her work on the In The Closet music video) Lots of imagery at the beginning reminding me of MJ, Symbolism, politics etc Janet starts her set by singing part of scream, "Oh my God, can't believe what I saw on the TV this evening, I was disgusted by all the injustice, All the injustice" There is a really WEIRD bit at 6:09:40 where she does this pre recorded bit in black and white where it looks like she is smearing blood all over her face (it's lipstick) and she's crying. Then it goes into a song and she says "Don't let anyone manipulate you, control you or use you" then you can hear loud ambulance/police sirens playing as the song starts. At one point when she is smearing stuff on her face she puts her finger to her lips insinuating a secret The look in the black & white segment reminds me very much of MJs aesthetic in "In the closet" The song playing in the background is You are not allowed to view links.

When her part starts, to me (anyone remember those VMAS) it sounds like Michael is singing and not Janet. Or at least is sounds very different to her voice for the rest of the set. At the end of Scream, Janet talks about double standards for men and women and bigotry and prejudice in general and that she's disgusted by it. Wondering if anyone else watched and if they noticed anything weird?

I was watching Tiger Believe's latest video and in it they mention Alfonzo Jones, who apparently did backing vocals on Behind The Mask. Did you guys know about Alfonzo Jones? His look and voice is so much like MJ is is weird. SERIOUSLY check out his music. Apparently came out the same time of thriller. The rest is copied from a blog (link at bottom). Register or LoginJones obviously studied Jackson’s vocal technique as you can frequently hear similar phrasing and vocal riffs (down to MJ’s trademarked “HOO!”), but Jackson would probably never have added songs like “Your Booty Makes Me Moody” or “I Wanna Give You My Love Til You Scream” to his repertoire. Considering that Thriller was released towards the end of that range, we gotta wonder: Who bit who’s album cover? Information on Jones, who released Alfonzo on LARC Records out of California (whose other releases ironically include Latoya Jackson‘s boogie classic “Betcha Gonna Need My Lovin”), is incredibly scarce on the web. We know that he was raised in South Central Los Angeles in the 1970s and was discovered by Motown producer Clay McMurray. We were also able to find that he released a second album in 1988 called Champion Of Love, which flirts with the then-still-fresh New Jack Swing sound. But other than that? Nada… If anyone out there knows where Alfonzo is and how we can get in touch with him, hit us up! So I posted this in the general discussion section because I am not entirely sure if this related to the hoax or not. After reading Souza's theory about "The calm before the storm" I thought this might be something interesting to discuss but it also goes in a separate direction, and so didn't think it should be posted in that same thread. I have no idea if it is true or not, but Elon seems determined on exposing pedophile rings. There was a lot of backlash against him, Musk built and developed a submarine in attempt to help the mission to save the children trapped in the cave but he was criticised as using it for a publicity stunt.
