The first official single from the new Michael Jackson album was just released on MichaelJackson.com -- "Hold My Hand" featuring Akon.

As we previously reported, Akon returned to the studio recently to put the finishing touches on the track.

The full album is due out December 14.

For me it connects very much with "Whatever happens", where the main idea of the song is to stick with him no matter what- "he doesn't know what to say, so he prays whatever whatever whatever happens, don't let go of my hand"
