James Brown cared for the community just like MJ

  • on: May 08, 2010, 06:36:26 AM
This is a clip of James Brown on Soul Train.  He's speaking to Don Cornelius about violence in the black community during that time.  He says that black on black crime has to stop.  Dr King's dream was in vain if it didn't.  A 19 year old Al Sharpton presents him with an award thanking James for using his music as a tool to speak to for young black america.  MJ was the same way used his music as a tool to get a positive message out and uplift people.

The first video made me think & cry & laugh and then think & laugh (when young Al Sharpton walks to the stage  ) & cry...

The second video made me smile & cry & laugh and then cry & laugh (when James Brown goes into photo position as Michael Jackson gives him his award  ) & cry again but these are some good valuable vids!

I love that video Michael put the cape around James Brown at the BET Awards and he gets emotional talking about James Brown. Too add the post James Brown always gave back to the community he held a Turkey give away for Thanksgiving and he had a Toy give away for children during the christmas season. And his children are continuing with both give aways.

It's reported that his body is in a crypt at his daugther's Deanna Brown's home temporary. A mausoleum is suppose to be built for him in Augusta.

AvaMarie thanks but I had heard his body went missing and if that is the case was it found and if not I'll just bet its at Forest Lawn in a certain crypt. We need to find out for certain where his body is.

I think you are right I believe his body is at Forest Lawn too. LaRhonda Pitts one of his illegitimate daugther's said his body is missing to prevent her from carrying out an autopsy to determine the true cause of death. However, Deanna Brown denies it.

what happened to music? instead of using innovation (videos and new ideas) music these days is all about looks and sex and being disrespectful for no reason, but not showing originality or emotion nor does it make you think (songs like born in the USA, sun city, don't believe the hype)... I miss those days  :?

Sure wish we had more than just snippets of past history, so much hidden. MJ loved JB, but then he loves so many people. Thanks for posting these.
