Jackson 5 Reunion Torpedoes, Michael Sued for $20 Million AllGood Entertainment says Michael Jackson is no go for the reunion gig By Elena Gorgan, Life & Style Editor

Despite reports to the contrary, it has emerged that the Jackson 5 reunion that was supposed to take place in 2010 and have Michael on stage as well will not take place after all. Organizers AllGood Entertainment have just filed a lawsuit against the King of Pop saying the one-night special concert will not take place because of him, and they’re asking for a minimum of $20 million in damages, TMZ informs.

Michael Jackson himself seemed to confirm the reunion a short while ago, as the paparazzi caught up with him as he was being escorted to his car and asked him whether fans would see him as part of Jackson 5 again. At about the same time, AllGood Entertainment was also speaking in optimistic terms of the outcome of what is already a longstanding conflict of interests, saying that it had the utmost faith that Michael would eventually fulfill his contractual obligations, to which he had agreed when his manager signed on the dotted line on his behalf.

Now, TMZ says, since Jackson has failed to respond to the organizers’ ultimatum, they are taking matters to court. “AllGood Entertainment just filed a Federal lawsuit, claiming Jackson reneged on his promise to perform with his brothers and sister Janet before performing any other concerts on his own. After allegedly agreeing to the deal with AllGood – the company that was producing the family concert – Jackson inked a separate deal to perform a series of concerts in London. According to the suit, Jackson and his manager, Frank Dileo, ‘secretly teamed up with AEG [the London producer]’ knowing full well that Jackson committed to doing the family concert first.” TMZ says of the lawsuit, after seeing court papers.

The problem now is that Michael is refusing to do the reunion show, in which the organizers have already invested a lot of money, or at least so they claim. Because of this, AllGood wants to receive $20 million in damages, but it is also asking to have the series of concerts about to begin at London’s O2 Arena postponed until a sentence in the case is reached. Michael has yet to respond to any of the allegations of the suit.

“AllGood claims its deal with Jacko prohibited him from signing any other contracts until 3 months after he performed the family concert. Jackson has claimed he never signed the deal with AllGood – his manager did. AllGood says the manager speaks for Jackson. AllGood is suing for $20 million – minimum. The company is also asking the judge to derail the London concerts, scheduled to kick off next month.” TMZ further explains.

Michael Jackson denies Jackson Five tour, reunion plans Fri, Oct 31st 2008 11:27 am EDT
By Allison Reitz
It seems as though Michael Jackson is taking a trick from the playbook of Led Zeppelin's frontman Robert Plant. After growing speculation about a Jackson Five reunion tour and affirmative statements from Jermaine Jackson, the King of Pop is sayin' it ain't so.

Recently the elder Jackson brother told the Australian Associated Press that the original Jackson Five members, including Michael, would tour with opening support from sister Janet Jackson. "We're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year," he said at an October 29 event in Sydney, Australia.

"This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," he explained, later adding, "It is just the timing, so what we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics."

But in a statement released by a spokesperson identified as Dr. Tohme, Michael Jackson denied his involvement in any reunion plans.

"My brothers and sisters have my full love and support, and we’ve certainly shared many great experiences, but at this time I have no plans to record or tour with them," Jackson said in the statement. "I am now in the studio developing new and exciting projects that I look forward to sharing with my fans in concert soon."

Around this time last year, speculation about a possible Jackson Five tour surfaced when concert promoter Leonard Rowe said the family was hashing out tour plans.

However, according to published reports, Rowe admitted that Michael wasn't on board with the idea. "His brothers are ready. Janet is ready. But the motor of that car that makes the car run [Michael], isn't just yet," he was quoted.

It was also speculated that Jacko might become the latest performer-in-residence on the Las Vegas strip as a means to raise funds. Yet no residency or show plans have been confirmed, though Jackson has been increasingly sighted in the region.

The Jackson Five are just the latest group to announce reunion plans without the backing of their de facto leader. Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones said he and guitarist Jimmy Page were going ahead with rehearsals and tour plans for the group, despite the fact that iconic singer Robert Plant denied plans to reunite with his former band.

Patrick Allocco Switches Position on Michael’s O2

Patrick Allocco Switches Position on Michael’s O2

I want MJ’s fans to know that we always put Michael’s and the family’s interest above our own. We were told by Michael that he had “another commitment” and he would perform our show as long as it didn’t conflict. When it was confirmed that he was talking about the London dates, we were always amenable to working around the shows. When MJ told us that he would perform our show when he came back from London, we agreed to a summer 2010 date. Unlike other individuals or companies who have filed lawsuits against MJ seeking astronomical damages, we are trying to put a historic amount of money back into his pocket through our one night only U.S. concert.

It looks like Michael Jackson and Patrick Allocco came to a tentative agreement, we know Janet Jackson is working on her new album and is very busy these days, behind the spotlights and it is certain she will not be touring with her siblings.  However her album release date is sometime in the spring of 2010 and there is still the possibility of her showing up for one show to be aired worldwide.  It would certainly help promote her album and possible tour to do a high powered 45 minutes performance in a three hours Jackson’s extravaganza.
