I especially like this one, and the symbolism in it...

I agree with you, it's as he's free because all the armbands break lose while reaching for the hand and the hand symbolises God in my opinion. I mean not as if in going to heaven but returning back to God.

The broken straps symbolize breaking free, but in my opinion the hand that's reaching out to him is not god's.  It's the hand of the person who helped Mike breaking free, and who guided him through the whole process.

I felt that about the broken straps as well.
But I felt that him reaching up could be symbolizing how when he performed he broke free of earthly bonds and it was a gift from the Divine, especially since that's one of his stage outfits.

Thanks for all of the nice comments.  I reguarly check out what people are posting about MJ in forums, and nude art / sexy photos of MJ are popular in the International forums, which is why I decided to paint a newer one.

As for Michael being offended by some of my paintings; one of Michael's signature moves was grabbing his junk so I'm not sure how offended he truly would have been.
I think if a paparazzi had managed to shoot a nude photo, yes, but MJ was an art collector himself so I tend to think he would have reserved judgment.

Are you informing us that you are really Dan Lacey the artist of these paintings?

If so, welcome to the forum Timothy/Dan.

Several of us  are really intrigued with the painting that shows MJ extending his arm toward another hand. The buckles are broken on many of the arm bands. What was your inspiration for this painting?  Is there a story to share?

They are all amazing! I too believe Michael would not have been offended (just my opinion since I can't know for sure) knowing his vast interest in arts. I'm not offended by nude art but neither am I a big fan of it, however nude art of Michael is a complete different story...  ;)

Hello, Mr Lacey!
I´m artist too and I love your style but I´m still think that the second nude isn´t just a nude but khm,khm - softly porn - sorry  Yes, it was his signature move on stage but on that painting he´s on sofa, naked and holding his thing - that give´s to painting another meaning. I have no problem with nudes - I like nudes but this is something more.
I love art too, but I would be embarrassed  if I would see something like that about me.

I hope I didn´t offended you and your talent - you are talented artist, just this one made med little bit
Hope you understand.

Oh, and welcome to the hoax forum ;)

The artistry of these is amazing.
I could look at (most of them) all day.
I have an issue with some, but I won't discuss those.

And in that last pic of Joe:

LOL, that is EXACTLY what I was going to ask; Why does he have a Pancake on his head with Aunt Jemima Syrup dripping off? I Just Don't get It :!:

Thank You to who posted the paintings. I absolutely HATE the first one (sorry) it's MORBID, GORY, SPOOKY, Horrid and Depressing. I love the 14th one and the 18th one and I hate the one with the hair on fire (Who wants to Memorialize THAT?) And I detested the last one that was Nude and looked Porno (Ugh- Just Gross - but apparently it has been removed, Thank You - I found that very offensive) The rest of them I liked and I will say this artist is very good at capturing MJ's facial likeness!

The 'Reach' painting was a suggestion sent to me by a fan, by the way.

People are split on the MJ nudes.  I'm known for painting nudes just in general-I have a new MJ nude in progress perhaps some people will like a little more. But I can understand why some don't care for them.

Just to say, the Tupac / Michael painting is mimicking a scene from 'Living With Michael Jackson.'

This is my favourite too. You can see the pain in his soul in his beautiful eyes.
