Wow! I'm speechless. These are one of the most powerful and beautiful paintings of Michael I've ever seen. Simply gorgeous. Edit~ I'm glad I didn't saw the nude ones but the ones that stayed in the original post are absolutely beautiful.

I especially like this one, and the symbolism in it...

Nudes removed...

OK no problem, I'm sorry if some pictures bother people, but it's art, it does not shock me!

I agree with you, it's as he's free because all the armbands break lose while reaching for the hand and the hand symbolises God in my opinion. I mean not as if in going to heaven but returning back to God.

I would love to discuss this one with the artist. He is definitely telling a story with the broken armbands and the extended arm. It reminds me of an old print with a similiar depiction of one arm reaching out to another entitled "My Brother's Keeper".

Sun comes up on this new morning
Shifting shadows, a songbird sings
And if you feel alone, I'll be your shoulder
With a tender touch, you know me so well
Somebody once said, it's the soul that matters
Baby, who can really tell when two hearts belong so well

The artistry of these is amazing.
I could look at (most of them) all day.
I have an issue with some, but I won't discuss those.

And in that last pic of Joe:

Does he have a pancake with syrup on his head?   :?

The broken straps symbolize breaking free, but in my opinion the hand that's reaching out to him is not god's.  It's the hand of the person who helped Mike breaking free, and who guided him through the whole process.
