Wikipedia over run..........
February 03, 2010, 11:30:49 PM
is it a message, just someone messing with our haeds, or someone trying to get the word out that there is a hoax :!:  :?:

on Feb 3 2010 there was something strange going on with the Death of Michael Jackson Wikipedia  page.

there was a few people on the chat site that saw this happen, myself included.

this is what happen:

normally the first paragraph looks like this:

Quote
On June 25, 2009, American singer Michael Jackson died after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, California. He was treated by paramedics at his home, but was pronounced dead at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.[1] His personal physician, Conrad Murray, stated he found Jackson in his room, not breathing but with a faint pulse, and administered CPR to no avail. While initial reports discussed the possible role of painkillers in Jackson's death,[1][2] attention later turned to the medications he reportedly took for insomnia, most notably the anesthetic propofol (Diprivan).

however after the over run it looked like this (what was added is in red):

However he is not dead, he will come back soon and spread his message which is L.O.V.E.

this was soon replaces with the entire page being blank, there was no pictures no words, nothing....
this could mean that someone is saying that the death never was

shortly after that the page only had one thing on it

L.O.V.E

then the words were change to:

Sorry wish I could do this all day but I can’t, love you more

after that the page was back to normal and all editing was enabled.

in between each of the new post the page was replace back too.

this tells me that someone was messing with Wikipedia and  they was trying to stop it. (so i don't thank that we will be getting any more strange things on there

plz tell me what you thank

I don't know if it means something...

SOrry, don't want to be a spoiler...
Because any person can edit the Wikipedia entry. So you can put anything in it  if you know something or if you want to confuse some people

The bigger page, the more serious.. It's a writer from before, not a new user that wants to fool us.

I don't know how wikipedia works that's why I will ask you, the ones that know, some questions. Is it possible for anyone to delete an entire page and put just one word on it?? Is it possible to almost hack the entire thing and put a few words that you want? And then is it possible to recover everything that was on it and leave like nothing happened?

Thank you!!  :D

*Thinking* I don't know if I'd call that clue since anyone can edit a wiki page, maybe it's another hoax believer trying to get a hold of us. Who knows for sure.

I dunno what to believe...I just looked in the history and I see this:

"Jackson is the coolest person in the whole world he is awsom (i cant spell by the way) he was my one and true frind i loved him i hope that the doctor gets what he diserves for killng him) JACSONS death triggered an outpouring of grief around the world, creating surges of Internet traffic and causing sales of his music and that of the Jackson 5 to increase dramatically."

I mean, really, WTF. But, i'll search for the one you're talking about. I still like to see this stuff just to see it. xP

**EDIT

Kay, now I see it. xD

I also see this on one page:

"Possible Hoax. It has been reported from insiders close to the situation, that this a possible hoax and that when the King of Pop returns,it will be noted as "The Greatest Comeback In History""

Under "Investigation."

Then there was a point when it said "I will let my message be heard"...Very strange indeed. I know that anyone can edit a wikipedia page, but the fact this person redid the page so many times after someone kept changing it back makes me wonder how determined they were to keep it on the page. This is a little exciting. xD

If you understand the numbers as an IP address, you will find for both numbers a "who is" of Western Kentucky University.

It was most likely a fan, ladies.
