Just like the title...I would like to know has anyone seen any of MJ's concerts? Performances? Him?  What are your thoughts on that?

I saw MJ perform for my 8th birthday! I remember begging my Mother for the tickets and she told me that they were sold out. The last gift for my birthday was a poster of MJ (the white Bad one), from what I gather I was too excited for words. She had to tell me that there was more, so I looked and she had rolled up an envelope inside of it. I opened up the envelope and there were the tickets.
My memory is really bad when it's regarding my childhood so I don't remember seeing him at the concert, what I do remember though was the huge crowd (which would probably account for the fact now I hate crowds) and the roar of clapping, screaming, singing, etc. from all of the fans.

If only I was older so I could really cherish the memory!!!

yes, I saw Michael in 1996 when he came to Bucharest on the HIStory Tour. I was 17 and went by myself hundreds of km to see him. I will cherish every second as it was for sure one of the best days of my life! A real dream come true!
I wish I could see him again!

I've seen him 10 times, including twice in the '70s with the Jacksons, where I was so close I could feel the sweat hit me when they moved.  I would have been going to the 02 three more times - making a total of 13.

I feel so bad for all those fans who have never seen MJ perform live and I pray that you will get the chance some day.

I'M A LOVER, NOT A FIGHTER

I have seen him twice but had 4 sets of tickets for TII to make 6 :(

He waved at me thru the steel gates after the dangerous tour at Wembley stadium as he was leaving the building from backstage well actually the side, I had been already to the same concert so knew that he left way before the show was over, Which gave us about 30 mins. so ran as fast as i could with the friend i was with as soon as Man in the Mirror was half way thru (the last song). We caught him as he was getting into the NORMAL non extravagant car that was taking him away. We called his name he waved smiled and then got into the car ushered by security, And then they drove off....
We were estatic and almost missed our coach home back to Devon we were 13 yrs old.
Best moment of my life.

I'M A LOVER, NOT A FIGHTER

Yeah I know  :)  They still have the tickets, I also wanted to share with you all that can fall under this thread, since June 25th. Ok I work in Downtown Disney at Wolfgang pucks so a cuple of weeks after the mermorial Mariah Carey and her hubby came in (while on vacation) Im a bartender by the way so I served them drinks (and she def likes her drinks lol) for thoughs who want to know what she drank(Goose triple shot up, KJ chardony, Seven daughters Sauvn Blanc) hubby drank Virgin strawberry daq lol. Any who she came in laughing looking very happy, Long story short I dropped the drinks off to her since the server was dealing with managers and chef about making sure everything was perfect for her, and I said to her that I was so sorry for her lost, and she gave me a blank stair like she had no clue what I was speaking of so I said it must have been so hard to stay composied singing infront of the casket with the family there, then she quickly was like oh yes it is i mean was very hard. So I left, and just thought what the? Even the server (a believer of MJ passing) thought she seemed way to happy 2 weeks after loosing a close friend. So a few months later This is it comes out, there is an amc theature across from my job I had a cuple come in to have a few drinks. We got to talking, they had just seen this is it, I asked what they thought it. The lady started to talk about Michael she and her Hubby both knew MJ from 81 - 91, she and he both worked for Epcot here in Orlando, she showed me some photos of her and MJ, she said he always had to stand on his tippy toes when they took photos even though she is 5'2, she said that this stuck out to her in the film because he looked alot taller, her husband and her both said that michael was 5'8, also they said when they saw MJ interact with people, buisness people and the kids it was like 3 different Michaels. They said MJ always had the last say in everything he did. This is  not the first time I heard this. The wife said MJ had given them tickets to see him and his brothers in the victory tour, they also went back stage to see him. He even used to go to some VIP lounge in epcot and would talk to the husband (when the husband worked there) Then the husband moved over to the Royal plaza and MJ people tracked him down since MJ trusted and liked him and moved his suite over there! One las thing about this cuple MJ ask the wife if she liked the thriller song and she said yes but said to him her favorite song was the lady of my life, so then he started to sing it to her, he sang the 1st vers and the chorus. She said he sounded exactley the same as on the record. And just a few weeks ago we had Celin Dion in with her husband and her son. I did'nt go up stairs to see her since she dined in our fine dinning area. I don't like to bother them. if I am tending bar for them I have no problem asking them questions. :)  Oh by the way that cuple has a strong suspision that MJ faked his death. :D

I will always love you Michael!

I had VIP tickets for Joey Fatones (NSYNC) Charity event in Orlando at Howl at the moon  just after MJ died maybe 2 weeks later.(i know Joey but just as aquantances) Alot of people that knew or had worked with Michael were there and they did tributes all night, Joey fatone
Alfonso Ribiera,Debbie Gibson,But i spoke to Alfonso and Joey and the other dude from Nsync whos name i dont know and Joey and Alfonso both commented on how MJ had the money to pull of a hoax and wouldnt put it past him!! (This is b4 i was a believer of the hoax so didnt think much of it) And im sure they were just joking but people do think he could pull this off!!

guys...I am so happy I posted this thread...keep it going...even if you know a story of a friend who met MJ.  One, I think its amazing...I am so jealous of you Holland girl!  What did MJ smell like?  LOL... and I think there is a lot of information available.  I never believed MJ was 5'11" by the way...5'8"...more consistent.  Has anyone read what the "followers" of MJ wrote about him on This Is Not It?  I believe them by the way.  I wrote to one of them and I am waiting for a response...I asked if they thought the beefed up security in his final days and the reason why he was not as open could be that he was in the final stages of planning a hoax.  I'll let ya all know if I get a reply.  Keep it going everyone!  Oh, I did see JANET in concert.  I saw her in MA in 93 or 94....I was a HUGE MJ fan at the time and liked her because she was his sister (and she is good!) and I had to see her.  I knew I would never see MJ because he wasn't doing any concerts in America.  It must have been 93 because she cancelled the first scheduled show...it was right after MJ got in his first trouble...Totally understood and was not upset at all.

LOL, just a funny story about how crazy I was in High school about him....I went to a yard sale and found a small button of MJ...it was a homemade button and showed him at about the early 80's...around thriller.   I kept staring at that button when I got home and one day took it apart...I realized it was made from an actual photo on photo paper....I was so excited that someone had taken an actual picture of MJ and had the film developed and made this button...I put the picture in my jewelry box...LOL!  In my mind, I had an actual picture of MJ...even if it was only his head and only 2 inches in diameter...HA HA HA!
