First I asked him what he meant when he said this (when he was emailing Mo):
Lastly, the vast majority (99%) of physicians will not jeopardize their profession or their livelihood by signing a bogus death certificate. They have too much at stake should their fraud be detected and reported.

And he said:
I believe the words and terms are self explanatory.

Then I said:
So...I'm guessing if the death certificate is bogus he's not dead?

Then he said:
That is one scenario.  The other is that a bogus death certificate has incorrect information as to the actual cause of death, for example to cover a homicide or suicide manner of death.

Then I said:
Oh I understand now. So which scenario does Michael Jackson's fall under?

Then he said:
Had a private physician signed the death certificate, the second scenario would be at issue.

I said:
Do you have anything to say about the first scenario?

I'm bumping this topic because I have emailed with Craig Harvey myself and know how weird his answers are so I believe this post to be true. I am not sure if Molly would still get a notification of this topic after more than a decade and maybe still have the original emails, but I think it's interesting to see that the spokesperson working for the LA County Coroner's office would even entertain the idea that the death certificate is bogus. And yes he actually implied that, I do have my original emails saved.
