'Transcendent Being' is not a description that someone like Wayne Dyer would make lightly and would/should in my mind be used only be attributed to someone who is Enlightened.
I searched for definitions of the word 'transcendent'
Beyond human understanding and the material world
Mysterious
Divine
One more thing, gwynned ... I searched an Explicative Dictionary of Romanian Language (my mother language), and here's what I've found on "transcendent", beside what you found. I'll translate right now.
Something which can be found beyond any possible experience, unavailable to the knowledge based on experience, crossing the limits of reality.
Beyond ordinary intelligence, individual things, humanity. ---> but this is, practically, what you said, but in other words :p
(Mathematics) Something/someone? which/who uses differential and integral calculus.
♦ (On some numbers - algebra) Which cannot be the radix of a rational coefficient polynom.
(On equations - algebra) - which cannot be written under the form of a polynom which equals zero. Well, on a more funny note, I feel that we're all in an equation whose polynom cannot/will not equal zero!
