Brings all this up again... :icon_e_wink:

20/20 interview with Michael Bush, Karen Faye, etc.  aired on June 25, 2010.  One year after the death and Michael Bush is still saying the family wants to keep Michael's burial outfit "private"

When Michael Bush was asked what kind of outfit he dressed MJ's corpse in - At 3:04 "The only thing I can say at this point, because the family wants to keep it private..."

At 3:16 "There had to have been a glove." "No, he didn't want that."

------------------------------------------------------
Latoya's interview with Barbara Walters aired September 11, 2009  One WEEK after the "burial"

At 7:05 - Can you tell us what Michael was wearing?

"He was dressed in all white pearl beads going across, draped across. A beautiful big gold belt. Like ... Like a belt that you win being a boxer," she said. "Full makeup. ... His hair was done beautifully, his makeup was done beautifully."

At 7:36 - Was Michael buried wearing one white glove?

"No, he was wearing two black leather gloves. He did have a white glove though, but he wasn't wearing it... it was in the casket."

Yeah, this is gross. I remember asking Karen on twitter why her and Bush's story about gloves does not math with what La Toya says, she told me to ask Bush about it and banned me as if I care much.  :icon_lol:
Now connecting inconsistent info with signing paper...... ("They brought me and Karen (Jackson's make-up artist) into the room. They made us sign papers saying that we can't sue them, because seeing a dead body is traumatic.), makes sense why we have 2 different stories about glove. I assume they signed paper for not suing them....for something else other than just seeing deady body trauma; maybe to keep mouth shot and someting like that.

Now we learn that they made a COPY of white military costume? Why would they copy the costume if  man is dead anyway and will not be in need of it? In which one MJ was "buried"- in copied costume or original?

I wasn't aware that Michael Bush had decided to auction off the pieces....
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Julien’s Auctions is proud to announce the auction of The King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s, wardrobe items and ephemera from the collection of designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush.
These pieces have not been seen since Jackson wore them on stage and in his videos. These very special items are offered for sale for the first time on December 2, 2012 at the Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills Gallery as part of our annual Icons & Idols auction.

The exhibit and auction include the designs created by Michael Jackson’s long time costume designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, which are also featured in the highly anticipated illustrated book by Michael Bush, THE KING OF STYLE: Dressing Michael Jackson, which will be published by Insight Editions and available October 30, 2012. The collection of Jackson clothing and wardrobe offered for sale, and seen in the book, showcases Michael Jackson’s love of fashion and huge impact on popular culture. Many of the items featured in the book will be included in the auction with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas and Guide Dogs of America in Los Angeles.

Sale highlights include a 30th Anniversary of Madison Square Garden show signed prototype helmet which was wired to illuminate a row of battery powered lights below the visor. The helmet is signed in black marker to designer Michael Bush and states “To Bush Love Michael Jackson,” and Jackson’s “Scream” video costume which includes a pair of black spandex pants with matching long sleeve shirt and mesh tuck strap. Each costume piece is marked on the interior in gold marker “2/2” or “2/2 M.J.J,” indicating that two costumes were created for Jackson’s famous video shoot. Michael Jackson’s Captain EO white spandex shirt featuring ribbed neck, zip closure and a rainbow motif is also included as well as the King of Pop’s Awards Ceremony jacket which is a black wool jacket embellished with red armband, gold tone metal floral buttons, metallic embroidered crown patch at chest and buckled leather straps at right shoulder. Jackson wore this jacket when he attended the 3rd annual Soul Train Awards in 1989 where he was honored with the Sammy Davis, Jr. Heritage Award, the Heritage Award for Career Achievement and awards for his single and video for “Man in the Mirror.”

There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a global fashion icon as well as award winning and beloved musician. His wardrobe dictated many of the styles throughout the last few decades. Jackson played a very intimate role in the designs and completion of every costume and piece of clothing he wore both on stage and in his personal life. Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush shared a very personal and close 25 year relationship with the artist which is rich in story-telling that runs throughout this collection, as well as detailed in the upcoming book.

A portion of the proceeds of the auction will benefit two charities, Guide Dogs of America (GuideDogsofAmerica.org) and Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login).

I think it will be interesting to see who bids on what.  Would places like Hard Rock Cafe or some Vegas casino museum bid?
Or would this primarily be for private collectors of memorabilia.  I think it's interesting who buys these types of things.  I don't
know if I would, if I could.  Maybe a glove or fedora, or one of the really cool jackets (love those).....but spandex pants?  Really?
I do have one piece of cool memorabilia though...bought at Disney World years ago.....a piece of Clark Gable's china.
Random, I know.  I went back to the same place this past summer, they had a couple of signed photos from Michael and from
The Jackson 5.  Perhaps Disney would bid on the Captain EO stuff, to display at the parks?  That might be cool..........

Blessings!

So...wait a minute:

If Michael was 'buried' in this outfit, and there was a copy made...

Was the original (the one he actually wore) auctioned off, or the copy?
And which one is with Michael- and why does he want to keep it with him?

Part of me has a nice image in my head of Michael wearing it when (and if) BAM day comes along...
All kinds of meanings are coming into my head with this now, lol.

I found these interesting questions and answers with Michael Bush on a blog

This one stood out to me:

                                      Q. What was his height...?
                                      A. 5 feet 10 inches

contrary to the autopsy report when his height was 5 feet 9 inches and Michael Bush
should know right? being the man who designed and made Michael's costumes

Couple of thoughts...

1.  I'll withhold my opinion of Gaga having possession of these items until I can see if she acts respectably with them.  Any desecration (ie: turning one of his jackets into the latest version of a whacked out meat ensemble) would arouse my immediate wrath.  :icon_evil:

2.  Exactly HOW is it that the Bush collection included lots of things from the J5 days???  :suspect:  Bush never even met Michael until they were both 25 or so the story goes.   Some of the items offered were used at least a good decade before if I recall.  Makes you wonder...at least it made me confused.
