It's flash photography vs. no flash. There's no mystery.Reflections are as hard to nail down as chocolate syrup running down a wall though. Look at the background in a mirror for example. You'll find nothing concrete in those reflections.

I think he left at night, you can actually see his car leaving on the security cameras they showed in court.
