The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) - IMDb

It's a December 2008 movie but I love it, I watched it again the other night after I found my DVD's and I would not have been surprised if it had been a movie Michael had a hand in, I am not sure if he did since I would think his name would be in the credits, it screams him although it's a remake of a 1951 movie as well...... A message about the earth and humans killing it, a big protective transforming gaurdian that protects the alien, the little spaceship things that act like a noahs arc of sorts and shaped like planet earth.

I quickly scanned this area of the board to see if anyone had mentioned it but unable to find anything.. but there is so much on this message board that it is easy to miss.

I think it's a great message to the world, same one as Michael was sending out. if you haven't watched it, I recommend it, really love the movie :D

You would get on great with my husband leilani. He loves  this movie. [All science fiction really] But he likes the old version of it better than the remade one with Keanu Reeves. I have the words.....
Gort.....Klaatu barada nikto permanently tattooed in my mind from the amount of times I've sat through this movie with him. If science fiction writer Harry Bates wrote this in 1951...I wonder what his ideas would be on the future of the earth in the year 2012.
