Hi Skyways! "Ah, my dear, "also!>>Thank you for you lovely comments, and kindness..but  we are not in competition.. are we?? LOL !!!..Ha  ha!I love to  share and read other people's poetry and stories.!! It made me think back to a love poem I wrote ... in 2005.  :cry: It was based on a dream, just felt like sharing it.

Subject: Come Back ...

I was so alone that dark winter night
When I called to you through the starlight
I don’t know why I chose you
But after all this time - now I do.

I sense that this is what you fear
I too, with every tear

You’re the one who helps me see
You’re the only one who would save me.
You relieve me of all my anxieties
and see me through harsh realities
In my dreams you will always be
one who promises to come back for me.

You shared with me all your pain
And told me to see through all the rain
There will come a day of sweet reprieve
but until then, you can't come back, for me.

You say our time apart will be long
that you need me to be silently strong
For it’s our hearts that holds the key
But for now, you may never come back for me.

I thought that by loving another
with time I will recover
all that I lost within your mystery
knowing you’re not coming back, for me.

If you should ever close the door
to this bond forever more
A part of me will always believe
that someday you meant to come back to me.

I never knew it would be such a fight
When I first found you that starry night
I’m so thankful now that you are safe and free
Even if you never come back for me.

Forever a line you will send
And so this poem may never end

Aww....thank you so much!
This made me cry, really. Not in a bad way. Not really sad, just melancholic.
Sometimes while chasing memories, the image blurs and one wishes to grasp the moment but it slips away.
