I cried when I read this thread. The picture of the buried dog in the beginning of this thread has haunted me. To me it's more upsetting than cruelty from people to people because pets are often considered as property, like objects you can throw away when you no longer want them. The owner has total control of their entire lives. The pet has no one else but the owner and whatever the owner wants and decides to do. In April, I had to have my beloved dog euthanized rather than have the fast spreading cancer suffocate her. Not only was the sudden diagnosis difficult to deal with, as was the decision to let her go, but on top of that the euthanization carried out by a young vet went wrong. I'll save you from the details. I made a complaint to the owner of this well-reputated animal hospital afterwards. I was explained in detail that it was an accident, and the owner was compassionate, but I still cannot forgive the mistake, let alone forget. Having this recent experience and now having read this thread - I'm in pain. I so loved her and these creatures tortured these poor dogs. There's not a cell in my body that that doesn't have hate towards there creatures who dare to torture animals. I have no words to express my disgust.
