ELVIS ALBUM NAME "GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH"
April 04, 2011, 07:13:36 AM
I think we all know MJ's admiration to PT Barnum. And his show with the name of "Greatest Show On Earth".

We all remember the circus elephants that arrived at the Staples just before MJ's memorial.

And I found out that there is an Elvis LG with the name of Greatest Show on Earth. Coincidence? I don't think so.

This is a GREEN VINYL 33 1/3rpm record by Elvis Presley titled:  Elvis: The Greatest Show On Earth. This record album contains Elvis Presley singing "duets" with , Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Neil Diamond, Bette Midler, Olivia Newton-John, Tom Jones, Simon and Garfunkel, and more. According to the record jacket, this is recorded from a multi-media event in South Africa in 1975.

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

I don't know about that but MJ and Elvis parallels are more than we know I guess. :)

Another MJ/Elvis parallel, nice find PureLove.  I wonder if Elvis is a fan of the circus.

I just realized that Elvis is an anagram for Lives...    ;)

I think I remember this album.  My mother had it!
....The parallels just keep coming!  ;)

Maybe we should keep researching Elvis to help us find more answers!! ;)  ;)

Hmmm... Interesting. I think it's funny how the duet with Frank Sinatra was the song "My Way". Harvey had some thing about that song, right? He like recorded it.

Yes Harvey recorded it and was actually not that bad.

My Way, written by Paul Anka who co-wrote the song This Is It with Michael.  Just another coincidence I'm sure.  :?

When I saw that pic of P.T. Barnum, it made me think of Mr. Magoo. Maybe it was actually supposed to be him instead (if it was Michael in disguise).25ugt4z[1].jpg[/attachment:h5fq2mdb]mr%20magoo%20casket%20guy%20comparison[1].jpg[/attachment:h5fq2mdb]

I had that record too. I was and still am a big fan of Elvis, I know for a fact he did travel, because the day he died, he was coming to Montreal Canada for his concert, I was 16 yrs old, and I bought the tickets to go see him with my friends. When we heard that he died I blamed myself because I said, for once my parents had given me the ok to go see a concert, he dies.. I come from a very stricted Italian family.

I did some searching and effectively he never travelled outside the usa just once in Canada.. So the concert he was suppose to do in Montreal would have been the second one.

elvis only performed outside of the united states once; and that was in canada...co. tom parker never got his american citizenship and was afraid to leave american soil with 'his boy' for fear of not bein' allowed back in the states...

Harvey's great - love him!  It's awesome when he goes off on a tangent about something and tells one of his stories that doesn't relate in any way to what he was originally talking about.

I love his "slip-ups". 'If Michael were dead now... I mean he is dead now but...' That one cracked me up. Harvey's the best. :D
