the one thing i am noticing is that a cedars hospital spokesperson is the one confirming the death of miss brittnay Murphy unlike with Mj who had good ol Jermaine do it.

Not saying that it's relevant or true, but the reliable entertainment publication Entertainment Weekly addresses the inevitable drug speculation at the end of its recent write-up of Murphy's death:

Murphy had been plagued by tabloid rumors of drug abuse in recent years. After appearing as a speed addict in the 2002 film Spun, Murphy was dogged by speculation that her extreme weight loss was due to a cocaine dependency. She denied the rumors in Jane Magazine in 2005. "No, just for the record I have never tried it in my entire life, I've never even seen it, and I don't leave the house too much, except to go to work." She also attributed her rapid weight loss "to having hollow legs or something."

Yes, she was so young And it's really weird that her husband didn't want an autopsy. Why could it be? Because of drugs that could be found in her blood? Still so sad about her :cry:

I first read the news on my friends' Facebook status updates.  I immediately went to CNN.com and did not see any news.  Then, in a June 25th flashback, I went to TMZ and saw the news.  Very interesting that they were first to report again.

No offense, but Brittany Murphy was not THAT famous. So, I would really doubt that any of those stations would have annoced her death. Second, I know we can't trust EVERYTHING that the media tells us, but PLEASE get real. Why would Britany Murphy, an actress that is not THAT famous would hoax her own death? I guess Farrah, Patrick, and many others faked their deaths too, huh? :roll:

MOVIE star BRITTANY MURPHY was killed by prescription drugs just like MICHAEL JACKSON, pals feared last night.

One said the 32-year-old beauty, who won acclaim for her performances in Clueless and 8 Mile, had become hooked on painkillers since having a series of plastic surgery ops.

They included Vicodin, which Jacko was known to abuse.  She was reported to have been "unsteady on her feet" at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie Across The Hall, which opened in the US less than three weeks ago.

Troubled Brittany - wed to British-born screenwriter SIMON MONJACK - had also been plagued by rumours of an eating disorder. They led to speculation about cocaine use, which she fiercely denied.

Brittany was pronounced dead at 10.04am yesterday following a heart attack. But friends believe it was brought on by a long-running struggle with prescription drugs.

One said: "We have been very worried something like this was about to happen. Brittany has been living life on the edge. She definitely had a drug problem and we have all begged her to seek help. Sadly our words fell on deaf ears."

The former child star - who also reached No 7 in the British pop charts with Faster Kill Pussycat, a collaboration with DJ PAULOAKENFOLD - was found unconscious in the shower by her mother.

An emergency call went out from her Los Angeles home at 8am.

Paramedics quickly discovered she had suffered a heart attack.

They tried to revive her as an ambulance took her to LA's Cedars-Sinai hospital, where Jacko was taken in June. But nothing could be done.

An autopsy is expected to be held today.

Brittany's death came weeks after she was allegedly fired from her role in new film The Caller after her "difficult behaviour" angered the crew.

Her agent maintained she quit due to "creative differences".

Earlier this month her "incoherent" husband was rushed to hospital after landing in LA on a flight from Puerto Rico.

Brittany claimed he had simply suffered an asthma attack.

I'm at a loss for words.  Hollywood definitely must keep their TEN MILES ZONE locked and secured as the entertainers are disappearing/dying one by one. too many deaths and with the same reasons related to drugs leading to cardiac arrest/heart attack.

She's just too young to die. So sad that this is happening to our world.

And just for interest's sake...the 911 call was made at 8am, they are saying she was dead on arrival, and yet they didn't pronounce her dead until after 10am.  :?

The word "CARDIAC ARREST" reminded me of the time back in June....
and of course TMZ....

They have already pics from Brittany`s widower when he returned home...

they also know from "multiple sources" that he doesn't want an autopsie
