Jackson's Mother Sobs At Court Hearing
January 06, 2011, 05:18:09 PM
mother KATHERINE broke down in court on Wednesday (05Jan11) and wept as details of her son's death were relived as part of DR. CONRAD MURRAY's manslaughter case.

The King of Pop's physician is in court in California this week (beg03Jan11) as officials attempt to decide whether there is enough evidence for him to stand trial on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

A number of witnesses have taken the stand to testify about the day of Jackson's death back in 2009, when he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest brought on by a drug overdose, and the singer's family members, including his mother Katherine and sisters Janet and LaToya, have been attending the hearings in Los Angeles.

A session on Wednesday (05Jan10) saw testimony from paramedic Richard Senneff, who described the scene that greeted him when he arrived at Jackson's home on the day of his death (25Jun09).

Senneff claimed he did not recognise the pop superstar and thought he was dealing with a seriously ill "hospice patient". He also recalled dealing with Murray, and insisted the medic's version of events "just didn't add up".

But it was testimony from a member of Jackson's security team, Alberto Alvarez, which provoked an emotional response from the late star's mother, who broke down in tears as the bodyguard recalled hearing the singer's daughter Paris crying out "Daddy!" as she rushed into the bedroom where her father lay dying.

The Jackson family matriarch was seen wiping away her tears as Alvarez told how the little girl sobbed as she was ushered out of the room.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter charge

The paramedics did not recognized Michael Jackson. How can you not recognized the king of pop? Even if you died your face is not changed. Like I said in the other threads, that was not Michael, someone who looked like Michael  died that day.

I think the title of this article is very misleading, although the way the media it, it doesn't surprise me.  The title indicates that Katherine was sobbing in court, but the article simply says that Katherine was seen wiping tears from hers eyes upon hearing Alvarez's statement about Paris sobbing on June 25th.  Even if Michael isn't dead, it must have been hard for the kids to get through that day, the Memorial and the funeral.  I imagine that just thinking about all of that while sitting in a courtroom again could easily bring tears to Katherine's eyes.

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

To me the title is misleading as well. Sobbing means she cried out! You know maybe crying loud even maybe feeling a little faint.

The _ucking media ALWAYS blows things out of the water!!!!

If you were his Mother and knew that Michael had to fake his death for reasons unknown to us, wouldn't it bring tears to your eyes hearing all of this.  Even though I believe 100% that he is alive, it tears at my heart strings.  Especially, reading about the children.  They are the innocent ones in this.

I can possibly understand how he might not recognize MJ, but to confuse him with a 'hospice patient' is beyond the pale.  He was rehearsing just hours before.  Was there a REAL hospice patient in that bed that was not Michael?

Also, and this may be a fine point, but it's really not appropriate for a witness suggest that Murray's story 'doesn't add up.  I would think the defense attorney would have raised a serious objection and that the comment would be scratched from the record.  As we all know from too many TV programs, witnesses are only supposed to answer the question.
