Liberian Girl photos

  • on: December 14, 2009, 11:07:46 PM
Remember the photo of MJ holding the flowers at the funeral? The Liberian Girl photo?  Has anyone seen that photo BEFORE the funeral?  I am just trying to figure out if that photo existed before or if it was fabricated for the funeral.  I can't seem to find that photo anywhere without it being associated with the funeral.  I only find the photo WITHOUT him holding flowers.

Also, when the dancers were photographed with the picture, a couple of the dancers made some hand gestures.  I am trying to figure out if those gestures have any meaning.

Hope this makes sense, my mind rambles sometimes!  :?

I thought the same thing as u about the picture. I've pretty much seen every picture there is out there on MJ and I've never seen him holding those flowers in that liberian picture. He didn't have flowers in the original.

Don't get me started on the dancers at the funeral.  They certainly did not look mournful or sad in the picture with Michael.

OMG! That is such a good find. You know I cant see the whole picture of MJ that was uploaded? But if there is not an original picture of MJ holding those flowers as far as Liberian Girl goes..... guys that means that there is definitley a meaning there! And as far as the dancers all happy? Comeone! Somethings up! Big clue good job! Now we just have to figure it out. Also and make sure that the original liberian girl photo he does not have white flowers. WHy would the family do this? Also aren't the dancers holding white flowers as well?

now, if you mentioned that, i can't remember that photo and , if we're speaking about the dancers , yes they could make some gesture but they drew my attention by their smiling faces, as if they posed for a wedding shot and not at funerals.

Here are the lyrics..very interesting I think

Here come ol' flat top
He come groovin' up slowly
He's got Joo Joo eyeball
He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knees
Got to be a joker he just do what he please

He wear no shoe shine
He's got toe jam football
He's got monkey finger
He shoot Coca-Cola
He say "I know you, you know me"
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free

Come together
Right now
Over me

He bag production
He's got walrus gum-boot
He's got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down through his knees
Hold you in his armchair
You can feel his disease

Come together
Right now
Over me
Come together babe
Come together babe
Come together
Come together

He roller coaster
He's got early warning
He's got muddy water
He one Mojo filter
He say "One and one and one is three"
Got to be good looking 'cause he's so hard to see

Come together
Right now
Over me

Don't know...even though it's one of the songs that are really untypical for MIchael, I mean the style of that song...I hope you know what I mean??

And I do not mean that in a negative way, I love this song...

Is this song come together the one in Moonwalker?? and was it part of The Beatles catalogue MJ owned??

But yes it's a strange song, specially because there are other beatles songs that would be better for the attitude and the voice for a MJ cover. And don't the dancers seem way to happy after losing the opportunity of their life of dancing with the greatest entertainer ever and being without jobs from one day to the other??

Everything is very strange.

Aromatic rhizomes
Rhizomes of the German Iris (I. germanica) and Sweet Iris (I. pallida) are traded as orris root and are used in perfume and medicine, though more common in ancient times than today. Today Iris essential oil (absolute) from flowers are sometimes used in aromatherapy as sedative medicines. The dried rhizomes are also given whole to babies to help in teething. Gin brands such as Bombay Sapphire and Magellan Gin use orris root and sometimes iris flowers for flavor and color.

For orris root production, iris rhizomes are harvested, dried, and aged for up to 5 years. In this time, the fats and oils inside the roots undergo degradation and oxidation, which produces many fragrant compounds that are valuable in perfumery. The scent is said to be similar to violets. The aged rhizomes are steam-distilled which produces a thick oily compound, known in the perfume industry as "iris butter".

Iris rhizomes also contain notable amounts of terpenes, and organic acids such as ascorbic acid, myristic acid, tridecylenic acid and undecylenic acid. Iris rhizomes can be toxic. Larger Blue Flag (I. versicolor) and other species often grown in gardens and widely hybridized contain elevated amounts of the toxic glycoside iridin. These rhizomes can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or skin irritation, but poisonings are not normally fatal. Irises should only be used medicinally under professional guidance.

I was just thinking, what is the meaning of iris flowers and i found this:
Purple Iris Flower
The Iris`s history is rich, dating back to Ancient Greek times when the Greek Goddess Iris, the messenger of the gods and the personification of the rainbow, acted as the link between heaven and earth.
A purple Iris flower symbolizes wisdom, knowledge, faith and hope ;)

It`s kind of a interesting choice of flowers.
