Prince’s “Welcome 2 America” Press Confusion…Er Conference

Well, I am not sure what the plan is for this tour but I would love to see it. And I also cannot help but remember what Prince said about MJ years ago. It was really strange. Something about people shouldn't doubt him because you never know...you never know. I'm paraphrasing but it was something like that. There was a video with him stating this. It makes me wonder how much does Prince knows about everything... with him knowing about 9/11 beforehand, the strange MJ comments and now this eerily similar press conference.

Prince fans uniting with Michael Jackson fans..? That ain't gonna happen.  There's no respect for Michael Jackson among Prince fans.  Bring Michael Jackson up on a Prince forum, and you'll get executed right away.

I know us mj fans will never unite wit prince fans  and i don't want it to happen  cause i do not like prince like the people here but we still have to prepare ourself if it is going to happen

I wouldn't count myself a 'fan' of either but I appreciate them both individually. Both great artists in my opinion.

Can someone please explain to me why Michael fans don't 'like' Prince?

Is it his music or him? And if it's him, then why?? (I think I may have missed something here..)

Or is it because of the hyped up media 'rivalry' between them from the 80s?
Or because he refused to do 'Bad'' with Michael?

Unfortunately I think it goes both ways..

I just hope that if some Prince fans joined this site that they wouldn't be victimized because they like Prince. I may be naive but I don't think that would happen. I hope not anyway.

That indeed isn't nice, but that doesn't mean that MJ fans would not want to have dealings with Prince fans or would not welcome Prince fans here.  If so, that would be "an eye for an eye", and that can never be the intention.
