Optical illusion reloaded: virtual body in virtual tomb

You guys know that I don't mind to post strange things. I don't take the hoax that seriously because the whole thing is absurd. So if you laugh about this post, do it, I do too.

So here comes the latest news from my padded cell:

I think Michael's tomb in Holly Terrace is no tomb but just a decoration for the sake of perspective and harmony in this hall. A sort of still life (gates, book upon the column, sarcophagus, windows with ressurection scene) for the visitors to lay their eyes on, especially when their decedents do not have a tomb but "only" an urn place in the wall and this is an unpleasant place to stare at for a longer time.  It is no place to bury somebody and it never was, it is just a scenery, that's why this place was never used till the construction of the building.

The whole staff of Forest Lawn knows about this fact.
No visitors are allowed to enter the place because they would realize that the stone just exists for the sake of illusion.

The reason for this theory:
I tried hard to figure out which shape and dimension this sarcophag actually has and I came to the conclusion that the whole thing is not usable. It is too small for bearing a coffin, the top is bevel to create an optical link to the windowsill. I don't know how to describe it in a better way. If you see the dimension of the corner in which the sarcophagus is placed and take note of the dimension from an outside view, you will see that the place is just too small.

Guess why the family covered the top of the sarcophagus with flowers on the day of the  memorial on june 25th 2010 ?? To hold people off from noticing that the top of it is bevelled so much.

If it's real what I say, this is a genious move of Michael.
Not only his death is an illusion, but also the place of his interment.

So let's complete the absurd scenery. You remember the open casket illusion I have found on the arcade in one of the pictures that were shown on CNN on September 4th 2009 in this little documentary about DaveDave and his friendship with Michael? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I fully agree with you ! Quite challenging to put the coffin in this stele ... The only possibility could be under the stele but is it realistic especially when you look at the size of the coffin ?  :roll:

Great post. I have allways wondered about this tomb. It just looked weird to me.  I tryed to talk to my husband about it, but he just laughed at me. As usual. Oh well.....  :lol:

Although we won't get any official proof for this observation, I think we should rely on our senses and logical thinking.

The surfboard was no corpse, and this stone is no tomb.

It's all about illusion, this place too. It has no other function than being the illusion of a grave. It cannot be used, it is decoration.

Imagine this genious move of Michael and whoever is helping him with this hoax!!

This is the first time I've seen the pic of Jermaine standing in front of the tomb. Is there other info on this part of the anniversary event? Sure looks like a lot of heavenly strong resurrection light going on behind him, nothing dark and deathly sombre.

I remember I read somewhere on the old MJHD that this was a kind of a "model" tomb - used in advertisements of Forrest Lawn as an example of what kind of tomb you can "buy" there...

And I think what we see here is the tomb's "head" or "feet" not the "side" If you know what I mean...   :?

You are right, it is a bright picture compared to other pictures from inside Holly Terrace. Even the colors of the window change from red to yellow. This may also be a result of digitally enlightening the picture.

Another thing about the Jermaine picture is that his pose remindes me of an apostel, maybe as an extract of the church window? So it would indeed have some connection to a resurrection scene.

O.k., that's what the shape of the tomb suggests and what would fit into the perspective line. But then it would be even smaller in realitiy, because from what you can see from the outside picture, there is almost no space in this corner to place a coffin lengthwise, which means with the head / feet to the front.

 Exactly, there's a whole website dedicated to ornate tombs and crypts .  This one is included.  I posted about it on this forum earlier somewhere.  It says Michael is buried there, however, I don't believe anyone is buried there.  It appears to be the focal point of the mortuary and possibly  the place where a bereaved family would gather after having visited their loved ones crypt, garnering their strength to go back to their everyday existence.  I just feel strongly that it is not for a body.  I could be wrong, but I sincerely don't believe it.

If MJ is really alive, then clearly he is not anywhere at FL. But I just want to point out a couple of things.

1. The rules at FL were put in place long before MJ was supposedly buried there. So the desire to keep visitors out has nothing to do with MJ or whether or not he is buried there. The rules weren't created for MJ or his prospective visitors.

2. If a body is there where MJ is supposed to be, it is not necessarily IN the sarcophagus. The main parts of the sarcophagi there at FL  are visible above ground, but there are crypts underneath it--below ground. They state this on their website:
"A sarcophagus is a stand-alone, above ground structure made of concrete with marble or granite facing. We offer a variety of sarcophagi, usually adaptable for eight interments. While the main portion of the sarcophagus is visible above ground, only one interment is above ground level; the remaining interments are in a large concrete structure below ground."  If MJ actually died, he may be buried in there, or he may be in one of the crypts underneath. We have no way of knowing. We are clearly supposed to assume that he is in the sarcophagus, if only to have a place where flowers etc can be physically brought to. But even if he is really dead, that doesn't mean he's actually in there. He could just as easily be in one of the crypts below ground, as that would be more secure anyway. And of course, if he's alive, he's not there anyway.
