Hi there,
Larry King just tweeted:
Michael Jackson's Dr. Conrad Murray will surrender today. Joe Jackson will be on as an exclusive to give us the family's thoughts.
So.. I'm curious, what about you? :) maybe we can expect more great slip-ups from Mr Joe Jackson... Hope he turns off his phone this time....
(sorry if there's already a topic about this. If so, feel free to delete)

oh I love Joe...he's got loose lips ;)

kingsthings I am not a big soccer fan, so why am I excited about the world cup?

This reminded me of that false story from the Brazilian "journalist." They said that Jermaine would reveal MJ to be alive on April 28th and then MJ would make his appearance at the World Cup in June.
Of course Jermaine didn't reveal MJ to be alive, but maybe there is SOME truth to the claim. Maybe MJ will come back in June at the World Cup.
Just a little bit of speculation. We've suspected LK of being in on the hoax, if I remember correctly.

To me it looks very sarcastic...you know, people talks so much about it, it is seen as a world symbol. It is so much everywhere, that even if you don't like it...you WILL like it. That's what I understand. I don't see a link to Michael. But maybe there is one...who knows...

Don't know what you're talking about...Only read it about 6/7 times...So I still have to read it a few times to reach "nerd level"
But you know, I don't have time to read HP and LOTR at the same time
:geek:
-
Oh and sorry, but the SUN is going 3D ??? I mean, they'll have George Clooney'as ass in 3D on his next summer holiday ? Sure they will sell billions of it

Wow, so I think I'll have to think about my personnal life...don't even realise it !
But in fact, I just trie to remember how many times I read it and I think I read the whole in one long reading timing (I only read at night before sleeping) and I read it about 3 or 4 times.
But since the beginning, I read every english book, then the french few weeks later, and anytime a book was published, I read all the previous one before it was released so I can really feel the environment...
I'm not a nerd about HP, like I know everything about the book and the actors, and everything. I just love the story because anytime I take the book, It's like I never read it before.
It's one of my favorite story, because it's really made about "nothing" a completely created word, about magic, good evil...I mean it's a very good kid story, and for reading, I'm stil a child. I love being lost in a kind of wonderland, being catched bythe book and anytime you get back to the book, you just actually jump IN the story. That's what I like about HP and lord of the ring : I could read them thousand times, I would still be amazed by those worlds the authors created for us.

Soory back to the topic.
I suppose Larry King could know something others don't, with the "He's still dead" comment.
But I'm guessing it's just the soccer fever going 'round.
I'm also super excited about the World Cup. Go Netherlands! lol

While the world is watching the World Cup the Elite is at work. The World Cup is the equivalent of ancient Rome's games to keep the people diverted from what is important. "Bread and games".
"Bread and circuses" (or bread and games) (from Latin: panem et circenses) is a metaphor for handouts and petty amusements that politicians use to gain popular support, instead of gaining it through sound public policy. The phrase is invoked not only to criticize politicians, but also to criticize their populations for giving up their civic duty.
In modern usage, the phrase has become an adjective to deride a populace that no longer values civic virtues and the public life. To many across the political spectrum, left and right, it connotes the triviality and frivolity that defined the Roman Empire prior to its decline and that may contribute to the decline of modern society.

I'm not a soccer fan, so I won't be watching. But from what I understand it's a big deal. Would Michael want to me it about him by coming back and taking the attention or at least most of it away from the games?
-
The soccer world cup is a MUST to watch.
1) Africa in world spotlight - it's a matter of solidarity and justice for African Americans.
2) Nelson Mandela's home
3) historical opening concert said to welcome
Alicia Keys,
Amadou & Mariam,
Angelique Kidjo,
Black Eyed Peas,
BLK JKS,
John Legend,
Juanes,
Shakira,
The Parlotones,
Tinariwen (one of the most famous authentic Sahara Touareg bands),
Vieux Farka Toure
Vusi Mahlasela
(more to come)
(profit goes to FIFA welfare projects)
4) opening event on June 10 (= 7)
5) worldwide live media coverage
6) Obama said to be present
7) Al Qaeda attack plans detected in Iraq...
If that doesn't count... nuff said.

Ok I'm going to ask a very stupid question that I probably should know the answer to. Does the U.S have a team that's playing? The reason I ask is because it has been mentioned that President Obama will attend I'm assuming he's there to of course to support the U.S.
-
Yes, the U.S. are there.
These are the teams:
