Title: MJ His Religion and View on Girls
Post by: mykidsmum on February 19, 2010, 08:01:05 PM
so, I don't know much about Jehovah Witnesses, other what little I read on them.  I have been wanting to post about this for a while because in this day and age, in MJ's day and age, someone who shuns sex and tries to remain pure is very far fetched.  I was reading on the Watchtower site (Jahova witness site) how they feel about premarital sex and they used lots of quotes from the story of Soloman from the bible.  I read it and I read that they believe, like the woman mentioned in Soloman, that the woman who seduces is said that her mouth is like honeycomb dripping with Honey and that her mouth is as smooth as oil but be careful because she is like a double edged sword...sound familiar anyone?  Dangerous lyrics!  I listened to the song again and realized for the first time what the song was about...like Billie jean and dirty Dianna, this song is about the seductress and MJ's attraction, and his internal struggle to remain pure despite being attracted.  In Billie jean, he never answers the question if he caved in, if the kid is his son, but he does his best to keep away and deny...the kid is not my son.  In dirty Diana, she has him running away to the phone to call his baby.  The temptation is there and again, he doesn't answer the question if he gave in to temptation or not, just cries of "no no no" between every bridge.  In dangerous, he is walking the line, his lust almost takes over and he almost sins, but then she touches him and he liked it cause it is so dangerous...again, at the end of the song, he never answers the question if he succumbed or not.  I think these songs and others each speak about his strong beliefs.  He even calls on religious teachings, the Bible, in Dangerous.  It is so fascinating to me and I really think that this is part of his appeal to the ladies, this "I want you but I can't have you" attitude.  In this day and age, is there anyone like him with these morals, who put in their songs the struggles they have with staying pure and giving in?  No!  I think this has so much to do with why we all love him so much.  I have heard Tatianna say, that after she kissed him on the bad tour, Frank Delio cursed her out and then she was fired.  MJ hired Frank as his "NO" man.  This means that MJ was very kind and hated to say no to anyone, so he hired Frank to do it for him.  There is a rumour that he is even called "the no man."  so, anything he said to Tatiana was based on MJ's ok.  I admire MJ trying to stay true to his belief and turning Tatiana away when he saw the temptation getting to strong.  She shouldn't gripe about it, but be flattered.  Also, I think this is why his dancing increasingly became so ....hot....I think he channeled so many of his feelings into his dance.  I don't think his style would be so seductive and attractive to women if he wasn't in this abstinance struggle himself.

        WOW What a great post, thank you. I never thought of it all that way, but I couldnt agree with you more. Poor baby, I really feel for him having to go through so many beautiful women throwing themselves at him for so many years, and having to walk away. But I'm glad he did, or he wouldnt be Michael.  :(

Well all I have to say about that very true post, is that Michael did better than King Solomon because he has WAY more "wives" than the supposed 500 Solomon had, and I'm sure he's matched him in fame, fortune, and wisdom writings. The Bible doesn't say if he danced and sang.

IMO Solomon let his love of women ruin the legacy of David, And turned himself from the world's wisest man to a darn fool. King David (his father) was a dancer & musician. Davis had issues too now LOL
