X Factor hopefuls are set to sing Michael Jackson this week - while Janet Jackson will also perform on the show.
Semi-finalists Danyl Johnson, Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon and Joe McElderry are each choosing a track from the Thriller star's hits.
The late singer's sister Janet is tipped to give her views on the previous night's performances on Sunday's show.
An insider told The Sun: "The Michael Jackson numbers will be huge crowd pleasers - and each contestant will want to do Janet and the Jackson family proud."
Before he died in June, show bosses had planned to bring the King Of Pop himself to perform on the show, according to the newspaper.
Janet, 43, who recently released her greatest hits compilation The Best, will take to the stage on Sunday's verdict show.
Rihanna and Alicia Keys performed on the ITV show last weekend.
Not sure if there's anything weird in that article? Well, I'm not expecting clues, but I think it'll be nice to tune in. Although, I will be listening to what Janet says very closely ;) I think it'll be a nice tribute, and show everyone how INCREDIBLE Michael is. but he says THIS IS IT like 20 times at the end of the song in the background!! :o
is that in the song on the cd?? i thought he only said it a couple of times all way through it!! :shock:

X factor is on tonight and Janet is performing tomorrow.

I don't think Michael would ever agree to perfrom on a show like this, somehow...
I don't really watch it as a rule, but it may be interesting, especially as Janet is going to be on.
I'm not expecting any clues, though..

I agree... especially when its talentless kareoke kids. There are only very few people who have the talent and the voice to pull it off.
The only one i have heard so far was that young welsh lad who sang at the memorial.

Ok.. so they arent exactly talentless (well some of them have some talent)... i just dont believe in the quick route to fame that x-factor promises to give.
You have to work for your fame and success and hone your career... and to be honest, so far tonight has been absymal with the songs.
Hang on.. Man in the Mirror now.. and this is my fave song of all time. please dont murder it Danyl!!!

No disrespect to any of the contestants, I think they're all talented but listening to them made me almost angry. I couldn't stand it. No one can compare to MJ and I hate it when everyone screams at them like they're as amazing as him. Oh I don't know.. I guess no one will ever compare to Mikey !!

I watched the X-Factor with the MJ song week and when the host Dermot O'Leary was speaking about MJ a light colored petal flew down past Dermot's shoulder. I just thought I would share this with you all. By the way I do believe MJ is alive. On the second main show on Sunday (yesterday) Janet Jackson was on. Sorry I don't know the name of the song she did. Janet did an up tempo number and did a lot of dancing. The host Dermot did not speak with Janet at the end of her performance. Janet seemed to just stay where she was while Dermot thanked her and she then ran off stage. I thought Dermot not speaking with her was strange because Dermot spoke earlier with Lady Ga Ga after her song. All the other weeks, Whitney, Robbie williams etc they have spoken with the host.

IN MY COUNTRY I CAN´T SEE XFACTOR BUT I BELIEVE THAT JANET NEVER DO AN INTERVIEW LIVE, ON AIR... THATS WEIRD... SHE DO SIME INTERVIEW FOR A MAGAZINE AND THE RECORDER INTERVIEW WITH THAT WOMAN, I DON´T REMEMBER THE NAME.... BUT AT MTV VMA'S AND NOW SHE DOESN'T TALK... WHA´'S SHE AFRAID FOR? :roll:

CC, Maybe in a few days someone will upload The X-Factor program onto YouTube. I'm sorry I don't know how to do those things. The other interesting thing I forgot to mention was that the show had MJ's White sparkly glove in the studio. The iconic one which has seemingly just been sold. The remaining contestants were shown at the display in London of MJ's stuff such as the gloves in all different colors, sparkly jackets and many more amazing items. This part of the program with all the items is different to the main show, this part is called "The Xtra Factor" with Holly Willoughby.
