Title: Spike Lee Tribute Video "TII" Mysteriously Banned!
Post by: dmovie27 on February 15, 2010, 11:19:59 AM
I just thought about something that is possibly giving us an even bigger clue. Spike Lee shot and directed a video for "This Is It" to promote the single, but mysteriously it has gotten very limited to almost no airplay. I saw them show it once on the Centric Channel on their morning video show about a month ago and it had a short documentary on the making of it and then mysteriously...no more. I was trying to tape it and thought they would show it later in the week but to no avail...nothing. And also, it has been pulled from all internet video sites. I mean ALL of them! The only place I know of where you can watch it now is Spike's 40 Acres site. This same phenom has been going on since the single was released too. Very limited airplay and almost no promotion. I know this is a bit late to be bringing this up, but I think it's important in the scheme of things of why that video was made (which is very nice) and then pulled or givien no promotion. It doesn't make sense. I don't believe Spike knows about the hoax and made it with genuine love, but Sony allowed it just so no one would ask questions. But you can't promote a memorial video if the person isn't dead, right? If he is in on it, then it's just the same reasoning with him having knowledge. Make people think he's dead, but don't make em think he's REALLY dead, if that makes sense. Just keep throwing up smoke screens so they'll be quiet.

Do you think it's because Sony discovered the backmasking in the song?

What was the content of the video? Anything controversial or interesting?
