Is it against forum rules to name a fellow member in a subject heading ? Only I made this error on the other site and as a result the topics were deleted and locked ?

In order to avoid another SC fiasco, I think it would be wise to PM the member instead of posting them as a topic... ;) If a mod doesn't reply to you soon, I encourage you to PM them directly with your question.

I don't really understand why that was a "fiasco" People were just curious if it was Michael's handwriting and only positive things were said about sc... I dunno guess I don't get what the big deal was

NoHype, Thanks very much for replying so soon. I'll try harder next time to avoid a fiasco, it certainly was not my intention. But I did come to some interesting conclusions as a result of it.
-
Hey Nohype can you explain it to me? I don't get it

Sorry, I will not rehash what happened. A question was asked and I responded. I'm done.

NETIQUETTE ;)
Not only is it a waste of board space, but it is simply encouraged that people don't single out members and ask them questions publicly. The reason why it's encouraged to contact a member by PM rather than start up a thread is that YOU MAY BE WRONG and the person you are indirectly, or directly accusing of something may just prove to be a simple misunderstanding. So, to avoid everyone jumping on them wanting answers as well, and to avoid that the PERSON you are questioning isn't made to feel uncomfortable - it is SAFER to just PM them.
Or Admin/Mod, if you must, must, must, must, MUST know something.

We don't really have rules here per se...we just ask that you treat every member with respect. I'm not sure what you're referring to, but if you think something could potentially get out of hand or someone might take offense, then it is a better idea to pm that person.

Thank you Netiquette for taking the time and patience to answer my question :)
