Title: AskJeeves and Google Bots?

Is it normal or ok for the forum to show the following:  

Who is online
Users browsing this forum: Ask Jeeves [Bot], Google [Bot], Iused2dream and 9 guests

maybe I'm clueless and this is no big deal but I thought these can affect websites/forums and occasionally cause server to go down/crash,etc.

It has to do with the indexing for the search engines.
