I just checked out his account and found that he didn't tweet at all between May 18th and July 26th. Looks like the tweets may have been deleted for that time period. Brett mentioned Michael a few times later on, including a Happy Birthday wish. What do you guys think? I know they were good friends. Is it odd that he wouldn't mention his "death" at all?

who exactly is Brett Ratner?
-
Brett is a good friend of Michael's. There is a video of the both of them stuck in rush hour traffic in Miami, both of them dancing in the car. It's really cute. Brett also taped an interview he conducted with Mike.
-
They weren't really very good friends anymore after Ratner refused to testify in Michael's defense at his trial, iirc.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard that MJ found out that Brett was in cahoots with Al Malnik to steal his Beatles catalogue. There were shady greedy people all around him. :(

Yeah, poor Michael..

We must taken into account that not all people around Michael know about the hoax.
-
The guy seems sleazy to me...
However, if they were friends, I don't think it'd be odd for him not to post about his death on twitter. On the contrary, I find it odd that anybody tweeted about it (the one's who were close I mean). KO, for instance, didn't even hesitate. He was online tweeting about it in a matter of hours. If someone close to me died, the LAST thing I'd wanna do is post about it on the internet... but that's just me.
Having said that... I am a little curious about their relationship and I think it's worth keeping an eye on.
