That comic book is really interesting. And I don't think there could be this many coincidences happening around someone's "death". I'm curious if this comic book could be the foundation of a new movie or show. Just a thought. Thanks for posting this video.

I've added it to my mental list.

Oh yes.  I read about this (God only knows where) I've read and watched so many things online.  Anyway... It's all part of the plan.  Far too many things (like this for example) are everywhere.    You just have to choose whether you are going to go along for the ride or not.  But fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpty ride.

And things just keep unfolding....  I say there is much more to come but it will be in bits and pieces.

What kind of video is that? I can't watch it here in Germany.

I know about the comic book - this is awesome!
The title as registered is "Fated (treatment)"  :o

WOW, this is big!

Such a coincidence. I don't think so.

Best new topic to read before sleeping.
Thank you.

The video is about the book and how the caracter does suicide but survives it and doesn't let anyone know he survived. He looks at everything happening from the sideline (al the news about his "death").

Pfff I hope I did explain this right. I need sleep now, it's much too late ....  :D

That is odd!! to say the least.

Lately there have been starting to question myself and wonder if I should simply accept Michael may have actually died. My gut still is screaming no way though. But then I see other stuff that we're all finding out about here and all my faith and reason comes back to me.

Thank you for posting, I needed that about now. :D

I'll post what it says:

"Random House publishers has announced that they are releasing a comic book written by Michael Jackson and Gotham Chopra (Depreek Chopra's son) called "Fated" in June of 2010. The storyline is about a pop star who has become so lonely and abandoned in his fame that he attempts suicide by jumping off a bridge. However, the character survives the jump and does not let anyone know. As the "living dead" the character watches undercover as he becomes somewhat supernatural following the events of his death. Michael and Chopra finished this comic book in the spring of 2009. Coincidence? I don't think so."

And I included this picture:

This is certainly intriguing and beyond coincidence but how do we know that there's really a comic book?  Is there some sort of official announcement?  The youtube video isn't official documentation but I certainly like the idea of it. :D

Well, it has been reported that Michael did indeed wrote a comic book after he "died." We just did not know what it was about, until now.

MICHAEL Jackson Tributes: The new Jackson comic book, written by Michael Jackson, Virgin book’s Gotham Chopra, with art by Mukesh Singh. Rich Johnston says the new comic will be called Fated. Co-written by Michael Jackson, it’s the story of a successful but reclusive pop star – called Gabriel Star - who survives a suicide attempt, only to find his sales increase and he starts to exhibit supernatural abilities. We’ve seen Jackson’s cartoons. And now the King of Pop, who became the King of Prop, is expanding his creative oeuvre. Swap the suicide attempts for paedo allegations and you’ve got yourselves a hit. Share and Enjoy:...

I checked my file on MJ's Graphic Novels & this was also posted in the old forum.
Here it is:

Should that headline read "Michael Jackson wrote a graphic novel!!!" or "Michael Jackson wrote a graphic novel???"

Either way, it appears the late King of Pop will soon be conquering another part of pop culture. Reporting from the Frankfurt Book Fair, Publishers Weekly reveals that Jackson and his friend Gotham Chopra (son of famous guru Deepak Chopra and former honcho of Virgin Comics) had quietly spent years collaborating on a book called Fated, about a reclusive pop superstar whose failed suicide attempt makes him even more famous and "something not quite human." (Whether that means he somehow gains extraordinary powers or is just, you know, kinda like Michael Jackson remains to be seen.)

The book, a small black-and-white hardcover illustrated by Mukesh Singh, is due out from Random House/Villard in June 2010. Here's hoping its success leads to a 12-issue Thriller maxi-series.

Reclusive popstar = Michael Jackson
failed suicide attempt = Faked Death

I'm very curious to how this comic book ends...

when this book comes out...i am def getting it!!! Strange there are so many " coinky dinks" surrounding his death.. CSI does a show about a pop star who burned to death ( looked similar to when MJ got burned in pepsi ) and she really was alive and saw how everyone reacted...it was a double pretneding to be her that actually got burned though lol really sad ending...but now this book written BY MJ basically talks about a hoax death?? he knew he would earn tons of money this way to  :D  and then when he comes back he will earn even more money because ppl are gonn be so happy to see him and be fans that he could even pull something like that off

I was about to post a link to that exact same article :)
Quote
As ComicMix points out, issue #16 of DC's late-'80s, adult-oriented anthology series "Wasteland" featured a story chronicling the downward spiral of a lonely girl named Shari Evenson whose obsession with a familiar-looking "dark prince named Michael" eventually leads her to take her own life. It's a small cameo, and writer John Ostrander never identifies the "Michael" as Jackson -- but it's pretty clear who the character is meant to represent.

I was googling that name - Shari Evenson - (to check if it has some special meaning) and got to that.

What I find kinda interesting is this :

Possibly the most notable connection between Jackson and the comics world, however, is how close the star came to owning Marvel, one of the industry's "Big Two" publishers, in the late '90s. As chronicled by The Comics Journal in an August 2005 article, Jackson met with Stan Lee and Peter Paul of the newly formed Stan Lee Media to investigate the possibility of buying Marvel Comics.

Michael Jackson - Stan Lee/Marvel"After we built SLM into a public company with a market cap almost twice Marvel's, we talked with Michael Jackson about teaming up to buy Marvel," the article quotes Paul. "I have a videotape of Michael in our offices for over two hours, seeing what we were doing."

Jim Salicrup, a former Marvel editor who was a writer-editor for SLM during the Jackson meetings, told TCJ that at one point, Jackson asked Lee, "If I buy Marvel, you'll help me run it, won't you?"

While the deal eventually fell through, it certainly offers an interesting "What If?" scenario for comics fans -- and an indication of exactly how close the worlds of Jackson and comic books often overlapped.
