Maybe they're reserved for future use.

Ive always wondered about those shoes as it seems strange.
Its a well known fact MJ always wore the same black penny loafers... wore them until they fell off his feet. MJ always liked to dance in shoes he was comfortable in and that had been "worn in"

Can you really see him dancing in new, stiff shoes? :?

All of MJ's TII costumes are sheer masterpieces. I can wait until I can learn how use crystals in my own costuming designs :D . I am truly inspired by MJ's designers. Blows me away! ;)
