There is a video of Murray, which also includes some comments relating to MJ, in this link:

Why Joan Rivers Didn't Have to Die

3:58 PM PST, November 11, 2014

ET breaks down the new report that criticizes the clinic where Joan Rivers had surgery.

Among the mistakes, investigators report that the clinic failed to get Joan's informed consent for each procedure performed and "failed to identify deteriorating vital signs." The report also claims that a staff member "proceeded to take pictures of the surgeon and the patient with his cell phone."

NEWS: Joan Rivers' Autopsy Results Released

ET has confirmed that Joan's daughter Melissa is planning to sue the clinic. Her attorney released a statement, saying, "Ms. Rivers is outraged by the misconduct and mismanagement now shown to have occurred before, during and after the procedure."

According to The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner's (OCME) investigation, the official cause of Joan's death was anoxic encephalopathy (brain damage) due to hypoxic arrest (a decrease in oxygen to the brain) during surgery -- a laryngoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.

The report also revealed that Joan was under propofol sedation during the procedure. Michael Jackson died from a fatal dose of propofol in 2009.

We asked Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician that was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death, if there were any other comparisons to be made between the deaths of Michael and Joan.

"Not really," said Murray. "[Joan] seemed to have received about 300 milligrams of propofol within one minute, and I think that that would not be correct."

Joan's death was classified as a "therapeutic complication," which means that the death officially resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy.

The legendary comedienne underwent a routine endoscopy in August to evaluate changes in her voice and to deal with acid reflux. She was placed in a medically induced coma after going into cardiac arrest and passed away a week later. She was 81.

Murray "got the impression" that Demerol caused his death and he claims that he has not given MJ any propofol that resulted his demise. "I was not present at the time, I encountered a lifeless man, we don't know what he did but I was not there, I was on the phone, I was elsewhere " Medical ignorance and negligence is malpractice and still Murray insists he is not to blame. Although, he obviously hasn't learned from it, I hope other physicians will.

All this tells me is of course he knows giving 300 mg of propofol in a minute is wrong-- because he never administered a propofol overdose to MJ in the first place. (as is the reality I hope for)

So could this represent anything for the hoax or as to Murray's REAL role  on 6/25? idk. My brain is scanning this, reading between each word (maybe trying too hard?)...

Yes, Suspicious, I thought they'd just made it up until I saw the video and I have to say I was surprised to see Murray 'in the flesh'.

He seems to be contradicting himself here with the Demerol story.  He claimed in that powerpoint presentation thing he did, that unbeknownst to Murray, MJ was in withdrawal from Demerol on 25/6 ... here he says Demerol caused his death. Maybe he's referring to the lack of Demerol, and the fact that he knew nothing about MJ's supposed Demerol use, that meant he didn't treat MJ appropriately.  Whatever!

Putting aside the absurdity of ET asking Murray about the correct use of Propofol, does anyone else feel somewhat uncomfortable/confused about why Murray, as a 'character' in MJ's story, would put himself out there commenting on someone's else's situation? Seems wrong somehow.  Disrespectful.

I wish I could get to the bottom of Murray.  He's the only reason I'm still here!  And when he comes out with stuff like I wasn't there, I don't know what happened, I don't know what MJ did, I just found a lifeless man - it makes me question even more: could there be areas in which he is in the dark, just like the rest of us?

Well he's not to blame is he?  Not unless (you believe) MJ died.

And if he knew he found a 'lifeless' man, then why did he insist the paramedics take him to the hospital? I thought one of the paramedics believed that he had passed before they even arrived.

A part of me also feels that Conrad was left in the dark on some things as well.  I'm wondering if maybe the 'faked death' brought other issues that Conrad wasn't prepared for. Perhaps they had planned everything not thinking that there could be a trial. It could explain all the inconsistencies.

Hmm. Interesting perspective. I have thought of this too. I sometimes feel that he didn't have anything to do with it. I think something weird is going on. Why would ET just call Murray instead of an expert? Did anyone else notice the Rob Lowe commercial that played before the ET video?  :thjajaja121:

Hn...

This is plausible. Conrad had to know a LOT- the basis of it - the legalities - but there must have been some things Michael needed to keep to himself (and to his kids, who I am positive are 100% in on this - they would be the first to know every single detail after all).

But then... there goes my theory of MJ being Conrad (sometimes, e.g., for phone interviews such as Anderson Cooper)?!  :icon_e_geek:

True in hoax perspective. we beLIEvers believe/know this.

Media has been linking Joan Rivers' death, propofol and Michael's 'death' and so I am not that surprised to see Conrad Murray commenting in this video. Medical malpractice and negligence is again a hot topic for discussions and investigation in the media and on medical blogs like it was during the Murray manslaughter trial. That is maybe, that Murray's appearance and comments is to put emphasis on this case, which is not just about propofol.  I still believe that one of many purposes of the hoax is a wake-up call and to expose medical malpractice, negligence, abusing prescription drugs and violating patient privacy etc and not just in Hollywood.
