Conrad Murray Dumped By Attorney Michael Flanagan Following Jailhouse Altercation With Legal Team
Just one week after Michael Flanagan got into a heated jailhouse altercation with Valerie Wass, his fellow attorney and co-counsel, he has announced his intention to no longer represent their client, Conrad Murray, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Flanagan will inform Murray during his next jailhouse visit that he will no longer be representing him,” a source tells Radar. “Michael had been representing Murray in his fight against the California Medical Board to get his medical license reinstated.

“Michael had been assisting Wass, who is Murray’s appellate attorney, but wasn’t formally on record. Michael has already formally notified Wass in writing that he’s quitting and will give Conrad referrals for other attorneys who may be able to assist him.”
The two attorneys, along with Flanagan’s son, were involved in a physical and verbal altercation at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles last week as they were visiting Murray. Wass subsequently filed a police report alleging Flanagan’s son pushed her. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Spokesperson said it was a “very minor altercation” but that there would be an investigation in to the matter.

Meanwhile, as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Murray’s baby mama, Nicole Alvarez, recently sold a sobbing voicemail message that the convicted felon left for her from jail, to a website so she could pay her rent
In the voicemail, a highly emotional Murray can be heard sobbing as he complains about the hardship of life behind bars.

“I can’t sleep now, it’s very hard, I’m in constant pain,” he bemoans. “Can someone please help me? I can’t use my hands anymore, I have no more use of my arms.”
Murray is currently appealing his four year involuntary manslaughter sentence for the death of his patient Michael Jackson.

The disgraced former cardiologist, “is ever so hopeful that his appeal will be successful, and he will be let out of jail early on bail while his appeal is heard,” an insider previously told Radar.
However, the chances of Murray being let out early “are really slim to none. Murray has been deemed a flight risk, and he has been denied several times before during the appellate process to be released,” a law enforcement revealed.

There is a reason why God allowed Flanagan not to be Conrad Murray's lawyer. Maybe it is because God wants to give Murray a lawyer that is better than Flanagan. Possibly a lawyer whose worked with cases of mistaken identity. That is just my opinion anyways. If Michael Joe Jackson wants to come back, his death case would have to be proven to be a case of mistaken identity. The involuntary manslaughter case was against Conrad Murray, not against Michael Jackson. Conrad Murray was obviously guilty for killing someone who was mistakenly identified as Michael Joseph Jackson on June 25, 2009.

I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Flanagan will go to court to file a lawsuit against Chernoff or the Murray defence team based on law errors which might lead to a retrial in which the defense would then seek to put Murray on the stand. :judge-smiley: The 'KEY' on the stand :icon_e_wink: that could be interesting.
TS' redirect of 22 January on the court updates about the appeal in March could be a hint that there can be changes.
How will this saga will continue to unfold....... (where's my popcorn :icon_geek:)

Everlasting, thanks for all the good links! Just wondering if there could be a parallel between Murray wishing he had testified at his trial to help pursuade the jury to give him a not guilty verdict-- blaming his lawyer Chernoff for urging him to not testify; and Michael wishing he had not listened to his lawyers urging him to pay off the Chandlers in 93, which led to the public's distrust of his innocence after even the 2005 trial proclaimed him not guilty.
Does anybody here believe the drama between Chernoff and Flannigan is true? In the docu Flannigan says, FU to Chernoff in front of the camera, and it all seems staged, but maybe I'm over hoaxed.

And what a damn joke, that the world (primarily MJ fans) not only watch on, but are ok and in fact happy that he is incarcerated for an alleged murder on an alleged victim. We have an appauling brand of so called 'criminal justice' amongst the judical system thesedays (NB: Don't worry, I don't believe CM is in prison. :icon_e_wink: )

trial by watching movie classic TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
Jackson's movie making pal BRYAN MICHAEL STOLLER insisted the film would
help to cheer his friend up, despite its dark subject matter and the fact the

Stoller tells MTV NEWS, "It's his favourite movie. He has an actual

Yeah, I am still trying to digest this "affair".....this is turning into such a soap opera. Classic.
She's the "sacrificial lamb" ha? Much like Michael was the sacrificial lamb for the media all
those years. I have to admit.....it's a twist I did not see coming. I am just going to sit back,
and keep tuned in........I have a feeling there's much more.

Drama!
Murray, who witnessed the January incident between his attorneys, issued a strong statement of support for Wass in his call from jail.
“In recent weeks, I became keenly aware that a slew of disparaging remarks and personal information about my appellate attorney, Valerie Wass, were unjustly released to the media and the public,” Murray said. “Because of this injustice, I am impelled to stand up for this woman, for whom I have the utmost respect and confidence.”
Wass completed work on the appeal even though “with the blink of an eye, all of her promised assistance vanished; they abandoned ship,” Murray said.
Responding to CNN on Sunday, Flanagan said he had no comment.
“Although she needed help, she did not quit, did not jump ship, nor did she succumb to pressure while others abdicated their responsibilities,” he said. “She held steadfastly to her professional and moral conduct, which was bolstered by her amazing mettle of mind and spirit.”
Murray said Wass “stood up for me amidst a most arduous and challenging series of obstacles, and whose loyalty remains indisputable. It is my belief that she took a personal hit for me, and I want to let her know that I’ll forever be grateful.”

He should have quit ages ago, might have saved the rest of his 'rep'...he is quite the character. Or maybe they forced him to quit...can't have the whole courtroom falling asleep again now can we?
