The building almost reminds me of the hospital the day MJ was "taken" there. A couple children don't have masks on. You can def see MJ's influence in the way O-Bee dances!

Thank you for posting this video! I personally think most of Obee's songs are "Michaelish" and are very relevant to what is happening/has happened to Michael.
Okay - I'm an English speaker but some of the words are slurred so I think you've done really well with the interpretation. What I hear instead of "Settler" is "I'm a satellite surfer". Is that someone who's viewing things from afar?
The verse "The controversy turned me 'to a loose cannon" doesn't really fit Obee IMO but it fits Michael to a tee.
I'm very encouraged by the verse about 9 lives but the haters ate mine and then goes on to say "Prepare to get stunned".
Love it - will take time to listen again later but to me this is telling. I kept looking to see if the shadows dancing were all Obee or if we had a "guest" appearance by someone special.

May be we should take a deeper look at the dancers! That's exactly what I was thinking about when I first saw the video! Something tells me that there is indeed a guest appearance! But who could it bee!

I think it's a great vid and yes, Michael should be proud because he definitely has Michael's moves! What I heard in the song that I liked was, "I fly away precise it's the safe time."

I've figured same things, and in the end of the vid, what do you think about the "CARMABIL" driver :icon_mrgreen: I think he haves beautifyl eyes! It's so interresting too, that the "normal" people haves eyeband and are all blind, just the masked ones can see (including childrens). I like the vid! Do you think O'bee is singing the "hee's"? They sound a bit modified? Have to look it again, I feel like it haves more secret's inside it. O'bees postings has been intresting quite a time!

I like this O-Bee song....but I don't think the lyrics really don't relate to his life...they relate to Michael and it's just the same with the other song O-Bee released last year "Life is a Movie" ...the lyrics seems more about Michael's life and not his.....I have posted the video of "Life is a Movie" below, which I know we discussed at length when it was released in 2011.....but the high quality of the production, as with his latest video, as well as imagery within it, combined with the lyrics really do make me go hmmmm to both of these O-bee songs and videos:

Well well, the first time ever TNZ blog is dedicated to the art of another performer, not Mr. Jackson… Next time it’s gonna be about J. Bieber, this time it’s about Norvegian rapper & dancer Omer Bhatti aka O-Bee, whose latest release, the song with a highly eloquent title ‘See The Light’, made us pay close attention to his art — again, the first time ever. And — better latter than never — we’ve actually seen it. Yep, the light.
We’re not about to discuss here the boring scandalous subject of Mr. Jackson’s alleged paternity and stuff, ’cause we sincerely don’t see anything to discuss. We’re going to focus on O-Bee’s art and especially on his lyrics. Thinking that Omer was rather a great dancer than a songwriter, we didn’t really take him seriously, and this was a mistake. Because ‘there is no denying’, he has ‘legacy you can’t tarnish’, for he actually ‘was raised by the greatest’. And one can only guess what way this greatness of The Greatest may express itself through young O-Bee… The tight connection between The Master and The Student was perfectly visualized in the video to the song ‘Life Is A Movie’, and although O-Bee wearing famous MJ’s TII jacket is a beautiful metaphor of such kind of relationships, many of us can’t help thinking of MJ’s coat-tails — so Omer who has incredible potential still must prove his own worth…
Analyzing briefly O-Bee’s singing career we could notice that its beginning falls on 2009-2010, i.e. this notable talent of a songwriter and this inspiration have blossomed rather after his Mentor’s death, like if Omer literally got his legacy… Kind of deathly hallows, you know… Moreover, looks like O-Bee got from MJ not just his jacket, his invisible protection and dancing skill, but also MJ’s fate, MJ’s pain, MJ’s enemies, MJ’s idols, MJ’s pride, MJ’s honor, MJ’s ambitiousness, MJ’s experience, MJ’s intelligence, MJ’s slang, MJ’s features, MJ’s gestures and even MJ’s sense of own grandiosity.
Moonwalking in front of the mirror, a bold rap-debutant O-Bee proclaims himself the rap Miles Davis, John Landis, Spielberg, young Leonardo, a modern days Fred Astaire, Number 1, The Best One and just The One — in short, he amazes us with his enviable, but a bit inadequate self-appraisal. Which rather fits The King if he would have tried on the role of an ambitious youngster and failed to camouflage his own mature brilliance (or if he didn’t want to, since anonimity allows him to express himself freely, without false modesty). So as a result we’d get double effect — blended blinding radiance of the two — raising and risen — stars, bathing in a feeling of own coolness. ; )
Well, we wouldn’t like to underrate O-Bee’s talent, claiming that he is not the true author of his songs — regardless of it, he is a great dancer. But yet, for Da Trut’s sake, we’d love to draw your attention to some intriguing coincidences, oddities and allusions in the texts of young padawan O-Bee, which tell us much more, than just about his dedication and imitation.
Btw, the texts are actually great, whoever their author was. And to be noted, for a young Norvegian rapper O-Bee has really impressive intelligence, excellent English, knowledge of urban slang, cultural- and cinema-memes, etc… “Excuse me if my words are too profound, but truth be told, this is how you should sound…”
Oh yeah, keep it up, baby, intellectual rap is something twice exciting. ;)

This part of the lyric from Life Is A Movie seems so 'death hoax' to me. In effect, it is what MJ did. He turned off the spot light and said good night to the world on the 25th June '09. In what ensued, the motives of many would have been made evident and revealed. However, in the darkness of it all, we and many like us began to see Michael the man with clarity. I love the line switch the channel...and broadcasting live....seems to describe how we are all hooked up to our computers for this switch of performance venue that's live and interactive.
I think Obee's lyrics hold more for us than just great entertainment value. Time for me to pay more attention to the detail and lyrical content of Obee's work I think.

I think Obee may truly be a creative writer in the process. But MJ's fingerprints are all over it - IMO. I think about the times we've read or watched interviews where MJ had a part in either a song, a show, or a movie, yet he either went by a different name or he didn't take credit at all (in public). To me that gives me assurance that just because we don't see MJ's name doesn't mean he's not involved.
Every dance, video, or song that Obee has out has an MJ type reference.
My personal thought/belief is that MJ is passing on his light to the younger Jacksons by giving them support, encouragement, and the light of his supporters/fans. They get a lot of attention just because they are related to MJ and for the most part people have been very supportive of them all. To me, there is no coincidence in the timing that it was the months and year after June 25, 2009 when most of the younger Jacksons (and even the older ones) have either ignited their careers or reignited them. How fast after someone close to you dies do you have the presence of mind to do what these kids have done? Record deals have been signed, websites built, etc., It had to of been planned beforehand and the groundwork laid out so that after June 25th the foundation was there for them to build off of.

New single "See the Light" from Norwegian artist O-Bee has been released recently, featuring Barbadian singer and songwriter Shontelle (who is best known for her collaboration with Beyoncé and Rihanna). O-Bee (whose real name is Omer Bhatti) has two singles behind him called "All around the World" and "Life is a Movie." This is his first work with Barbadian star.
"When I heard the demo I was so excited because I have been a fan of O-Bee's from before," Shontelle said. "I think the song is very inspiring and motivational. It's one of those songs that you can listen to, and it will make you feel ready to take over the world. It gives you something to believe in, and it gives you hope, and you know, you 'See the Light'."
Describing the song, O-Bee says: "it's very aggressive; which is not typical. We tried to make it catchy but it's very aggressive and it matches my emotions, how I feel because I've been to a lot with a media. Like everyone else I have some aggression in me, and I kind a let it out on that song. But the thing about it is not in any way an attack or it supposed to be negative towards anyone. It's more supposed to be inspiring. No matter what you go through, no matter how many obstacles you have in your life, don't fall down on them. That's the message of the song. "

Thanks to "See the Light," O-Bee signed a contract with Universal Music Norway last year, however it was not immediately released. In the meantime, on August 28th 2012, they released the "Life is a Movie," which became his first single. The song is dedicated to his friend and mentor Michael Jackson, the late King of Pop.
"When I look it now it's definitely the song that I'm happy with, and the video", Omer said. "But at that point in my life, what happened three years ago, was very sensitive to me. I make music of what I'm experiencing at that point of my life, my emotions are written there. Those emotions were still so strong. 'Life is a movie' is actually the first song that I wrote after what happened, you know, after he passed."
So, all these songs that you made, are biographical songs?
Not all of them, but yes, I would say "Life is a movie" and "See the light" are definitely biographical. I like to write about the stuff that I experienced. I haven't really lived a normal life. My life has been very different, and is really been like a movie, so you know ... I don't do many interviews, I don't talk on TV. I'm not a big fan of that. But I like to express myself through my music.
How much you were involved in the making of the video?
I wrote the whole treatment for "Life is a movie" and "See the Light." I go myself and choose every location, I write the storyline, design the costumes that everyone wears in the video. And what I wear I style because I don't have a stylist. I put so much work and it means to me. I'm such a perfectionist. I picked up everyone who was in the video, the locations, I wrote the story and I did so much pre-work before shooting it, I choreograph myself...
Do you have in plan to release an album?
Right now I have a contract with Universal Music in Norway to do an EP which will probably be sometime around Christmas. The reason I'm here is because I wanna work myself and create the work myself and then go back the US and then work from there. I don't want easy way, and jump on the train, that I could done many times but I want to show people that I really work for this.

Sim, that's why when Stan Lee said that Michael was not a good business man I got very suspicious. Donald Trump said that Michael was very smart and a good business man. He said that MJ stayed with him in the same building for 6 months, and they often talked business/financial things. MJ had many books on this topic as well.

The very first time I read the lyrics in specific the sattlelite surfer / cursor line, I thought of online personas such as TS, Front amongst others.
Also I am sure I have seen one of the Jackson kids, (prior to 25/06) wearing these masks (no, not getting confused with the V mask)
But also all the white masks create the notion of anonymity. Seems fitting. MJ's position right now, this side of Bam.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it. I can watch the Musicvideo, but the "Behind the Sence" Video is blocked
by UMG here in Germany. How crazy is that. Please UMG could you be so kind and unblock it, I want to see

I’m wondering why the baby carriage. Is MJ’s hoax/ARG the baby? Sort of like the expression, ‘the elephant in the room’, being the obvious thing that everyone’s ignoring. So on the surface of the hoax there are masked participants with some lifting them revealing themselves, and those with their eyes covered over, or not wanting to see the truth, which has already been mentioned. So going with that I'm thinking the underground railway reminds me of secrecy and hiding (black slaves escaped for freedom via the 'underground railway'). MJ may be in hiding underground figuratively or literally, and keeping up with everything by computers (O-bee smashes). (Remember the movie "Unstoppable" the train 777.) As I watch this behind the scenes (and the official video) I can’t help wondering, how can he manage the obvious huge budget for this. I’m guessing hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not a million or two. Maybe a little MJ cash maybe? :icon_e_wink:

Notice the guy in front of the poster on the right in the Behind the Scenes - "Knowing Imagination Determines Success KIDS". I think he's the same as the mysterious thin dancer in the last two -- Official video, just has the red shirt tucked or not showing. Very MJish.

I think we should be following Obee. I have been following him on twitter for a while now.
The very first time I read the lyrics in specific the sattlelite surfer / cursor line, I thought of online personas such as TS, Front amongst others.
Also I am sure I have seen one of the Jackson kids, (prior to 25/06) wearing these masks (no, not getting confused with the V mask)
But also all the white masks create the notion of anonymity. Seems fitting. MJ's position right now, this side of Bam.
Also "see the light"...aka... "see the truth"

Underground railways can be related to the underground tunnels between MJ's 100 n Carolwood and Elvis' 144 Monovale Carolwood we were talking about or the underground tunnels that we thought there might be in Neverland.
About the Michaelish man with the black mask is not Michael you just have to take a glance of his hands to realize is not him.
