Title: Michael album cover movie references
Post by: Angelcdp on July 23, 2012, 12:08:14 AM
Just a few things I wanted to point out. I don't know if they have relevance or not. I had been looking at the cover of Michael because it is fascinating and holds so much in that work of art from the symbolism of the string attached to Jermaine's finger, tying him to Motown, to Ben sitting on a swing chewing bubble gum and blowing bubbles. I noticed the film reel inside the one building and the lion that looked so much like the one roaring at the start of many older films (Metro Goldwyn Mayer), then I looked at his throne flying all the way to the top of a mountain that so closely resembles the Paramount mountain and wondered if that is to say he is going to overshadow them, or he if it may mean he is taking his place at the top of that mountain.

There are other film references such as the stooges and ET's UFO, but those particular two were most interesting to me. Please give your opinion or discuss.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. I have wondered if MJ is the anonymous person that went in with Tom Barrack to buy Miramax but your thoughts make as much sense. I think the Michael album cover is very fascinating as well and even though it's been discussed at length I'm sure we haven't exhausted it's meanings.

I thought this was interesting how MJ knew Rob Lowe (ignore the doubles talk).
Michael and ROB LOWE (http://www.michaeljacksonhoaxforum.com/index.php?topic=20578.0)

Rob Lowe might buy Miramax today (July 7, 2010)

And finally, I’ve mentioned this many times already, but I feel it is so mysterious.
A reporter asked MJ how his finances were going, in possibly 2008. MJ said something like, “Great, I just signed a cheque for $500 million.”  What in the world did he buy? Hmm…  I can't find the video AGAIN... :icon_redface:

It's been no secret that Michael wanted to get into films and has a love of films. What has been a secret is the extent of his involvement with films. I am sure, him being the go getter that he is, he would not have just had it a dream that went unrealized. I wish I remember the quote he made about films being the best artform for sharing an idea or something...I could be remembering it wrong but he spoke highly of film, even higher than music.

He said something years ago about superhero comic characters being the next big thing in film and just look at what has happened in recent years. I can't help but think he had something to do with that. He also was working on buying Marvel from what I can remember. Just because it looks like that was unsuccessful doesn't mean it was. Or maybe he created his own?

He has been back up in many songs that don't mention his name so I don't see why he couldn't have done the same in the film world. It's not like he doesn't have the connections; Steven Spielberg, Kenny Ortega, Bret Ratner and so many others in the industry (actors, producers etc). Also there have been references to Michael or the hoax in some manner in many films these days. Two that come to mind are Megamind and I think Astroboy if I'm remembering correctly.

That is really interesting about Miramax and Tom Barrack and the Rob Lowe connection as well. Following the trail those connections make is fun. Whether they lead somewhere that makes sense right now or not. :-) thank you for sharing.
