UPDATE:  5:15 PM PT:  Sylvester Stallone's rep, Michelle Bega, tells TMZ, "Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone.  His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha.  Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man.  His loss will be felt forever."

Sage Stallone -- Sylvester Stallone's son -- has died and sources tell us the cause was an overdose of pills.

The details surrounding the death are still unclear .. but we're told he was found in his L.A. apartment by either a maid or his girlfriend. Paramedics were called to the home and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Sources tell us authorities are trying to determine if the death was intentional or accidental.

We're told Sylvester is a "wreck."

Sage famously made his film debut alongside his father in the 1990 movie "Rocky 5" -- playing the role of Rocky's son Robert Balboa.

Lost for words.  Too many young people are dying before they get the chance to live.  My prayers go out to the family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Sage. How devastating that yet one more young person lost their life to Rx pills.

Hugs and tears to the Stallone and Czack family.

This is so sad  :(

I still remember him as the little boy in Rocky....and I believe that is what all parents see when they look at their children, no matter how old they get...the little boy/girl they used to be.

My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends.

No parent should have to bury their child.

OMG! this is terrible a man so young. I agree with you Maryk, parents should not bury their children, not natural. God grant you the consolation that both need their parents and relatives. It is very sad that a young person dies.

Alright guys....in no way do I intend to belittle the tragedy of this, please don´t get me wrong.

But I just noticed this in a recent update to the article on TMZ and I found it interesting/noteworthy:

Quote
6:04 PM PT: Now here's a crazy picture -- the L.A. County Coroner van, flanked by a celebrity tour filled with snap-happy tourists. Welcome to Hollywood, folks.

Coroner van, StarLine....again..... :icon_e_confused: :icon_question:
Hollywood.....

I saw that too MaryK.
Another odd thing is that Sage shunned the wild life. I know quiet types can also be drug abusers.....but.....
Sylvester Stallone's son Sage, 36, found dead in Los Angeles home after suspected drug overdose | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2173391/Sylvester-Stallones-son-Sage-36-dead-Los-Angeles-home-suspected-drug-overdose.html)

Sage went on to pursue a career behind the camera and shunned the wild Hollywood party scene, preferring to watch horror zombie films instead.
‘People call me a hermit,’ he said while promoting the film. ‘But I'm happy.’

Horror and zombie films hmmn?

Sage was about to get married also. Doesn't sound like someone wanting to check out of life to me.

One other thought....What if this is the price that Sly had to pay for his success....[past and future with his new movie The Expendables about to premier] We don't like to think about TPTB and illuminati rituals....but every time something feels / seems off in a death [like Whitney's] I wonder.

Sage Stallone -- Dead for at Least Three Days | TMZ.com (http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/14/sage-stallone-dead-three-days/)
SAGE STALLONE
Dead for at Least
THREE DAYS
(http://ll-media.tmz.com/2012/07/13/0713-sage-stallone-article-5.jpg)
Sage Stallone was dead in his room for a minimum of 3-4 days and possibly as long as a week ... this according to law enforcement sources connected with the case.

Our sources tell TMZ ... Sage "lived like Howard Hughes" ... he often spent days in his room which was "littered with junk," including an enormous number of cigarette butts, beer and soda cans, and food.

We're told there were two drawers filled with various pill bottles, some of which were "huge."

Our sources say Sage was living like a hermit ... no one had spoken with him since a week ago Friday. Although the housekeeper had been there earlier this week, she had specific ongoing instructions never to enter Sage's room. In fact, we're told the housekeeper was told to never even knock at the door.

One law enforcement source called the room "disgusting," saying it reeked of various smells.

We're told Sage's mother called the housekeeper yesterday after being unable to reach him, asking her to stop by and check on him. That's when she discovered the body.

Law enforcement sources tell us it's pretty clear from the evidence they saw ... Sage's death was an accident.

not being rude, just throwing in, that i completely believe in TPTB, but young people in hollywood do 'do drugs'

if i were in hollywood and had all of those stresses and expectations upon me as well as limitless disposable income (and wasnt a JW of course) i would probably succumb to doing drugs too.

we just don't know. i know he was getting married, and being reckless doesnt fit the occasion. but often people get trapped into the "it will never happen to me - thats something that happens to other people" kind of thinking....

whatever happened its a tragedy, thats for sure.

again, i mean no disrespect by this post, to those who suggest foul play.

No offense taken...we are merely disecting and looking at it from all possibilities. It's what we do. People, even young people die everyday, but I like to at least think about the less obvious scenario. And yes...a tragedy for sure.

What a picture - so well fitting double morals of the readers.
How come the persons mentioned draw unqualified conclusions from "appearance" to cause and case?

It is again about this: what you think while reading puts you in a cabinet of positive or negative perception.

Quote
hermit
Hermit- VERB- to go on a hermit.

When a person stays away from a  group of friends to try and abstain from substance abuse.

Quote
Hermit
Someone who enjoys doing things on their own away from groups. Hermits are always busy with so many things they want to do on their own that they rarely make time for social gatherings.

Many have high IQ's and are bored and unchallenged in social settings. They want to do what they want to do. Uninterrupted and unbothered. Often driven and very successful in knowledge and achievements in science & arts & philosophy (think Einstein)
Urban Dictionary: hermit (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hermit)

This man did work in an entertainment area others would not want to dig into.
He worked with Bob Murawski, the editor of Spiderman 1-3, which gives a - however weak - connection to Columbia Pictures / Sony.

After having read the last TMZ article above I am fully convinced that the descriptions we were given so far do not give truth. Déjà vu.

Sage Stallone
'Out of It'
Months Before His Death

(http://ll-media.tmz.com/2012/07/14/0714-sage-stallone-getty-3.jpg) (http://ll-media.tmz.com/2012/07/14/0714-sage-stallone-getty-3.jpg)

Sage Stallone was so out of it at a recent photo shoot at his house, he tried taking pictures with a camera that still had the lens cap on ... a magazine publisher tells TMZ.

Robert Rhine, editor-in-chief of Girls and Corpses magazine, tells TMZ ... he did a photo shoot for the mag back in May at Sage's house because the subject of the shoot had known Sage for years.

Rhine says it took Sage 45 minutes to answer the door, adding he could tell right away Sage was "on something" -- slurring his words and stumbling around -- though he never saw him take anything.

Rhine says Sage would talk to him for a couple of seconds before trailing off and just walking away. Rhine described his behavior as "very similar to Ozzy Osbourne."

Rhine said that during the photo shoot, Sage came out with a camera of his own ... which bothered Rhine because of copyright issues. But upon further inspection, Rhine noticed Sage hadn't even taken the lens cap off.

Rhine says the place was a mess, with piles of stuff everywhere.  As we previously reported ... law enforcement told TMZ  ... Sage's bedroom was "disgusting," (http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/14/sage-stallone-dead-three-days/) reeking of various smells, and littered with cigarette butts and empty cans.  Numerous pill bottles were also found.

Rhine finished by telling TMZ, "What’s troubling is the fact that the people around him claim there were no signs. I saw the signs. When everyone from the shoot heard the news, none of us were surprised."  An interesting comment, because law enforcement sources say neighbors told them they were "shocked but not surprised."

Lawyer's Story
Doesn't Match Up with Cops

Sage Stallone's lawyer and longtime friend is painting a picture of Sage in the days leading up to his death that is radically different from what law enforcement sources are telling TMZ.

Attorney George Braunstein claims:

Sage posted pics to Facebook 17 hours before he was found dead.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sage was dead for a minimum of 3 days (http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/14/sage-stallone-dead-three-days/) (and possibly as long as a week) before his body was found. Our sources say no one had heard from him in a full week.  And we're told his room was filled with cigarette butts and reeked of various smells.

Sage never exhibited any signs of drug use or addiction.
TMZ spoke with Robert Rhine, a magazine publisher who worked with Sage two months ago. He said Sage was "out of it" the entire time (http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/15/sage-stallone-dead-photo-shoot/) he worked with him and it was obvious to him and everyone at the photo shoot that Sage was on something.  And our law enforcement sources say there were multiple pill bottles in his room, some of which were "huge."

Sage didn't drink.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ his room was littered with various items, including empty beer cans.

Our sources say they believe Sage's death was an accident and not intentional.

This is really sad and it makes me even sadder that Sly had to make a public plea to respect their privacy - I think he was mostly referring to the media.

It infuriates me that celebrities and those in the spotlight are treated like a stage show where it's people's assumed right to know what is going on. Nobody in the private sector would like to be under a spotlight like this, especially in a situation like this. I wish the media would be more respectful.

Blessings to each of you.

PS. MaryK - odd that the celebrity van was parked out there. I guess if we find it's the same number as the one outside of Michael's we should look at it further. Too bad they have no privacy in life or in death.
