Michael Jackson owes a convicted criminal $1 BILLION for exploiting personal details about her life in his music -- this according to a bizarre
and, dare we say, bogus lawsuit.
Kimberly Griggs filed the case in San Diego -- claiming she and Jackson had an intimate relationship beginning in 1979, which she says he
chronicled in his albums "Off the Wall," "Thriller," "Bad," "Dangerous," and his greatest hits album ... "Number Ones."
Griggs -- who spent years in prison for burglary and robbery -- claims she was pissed that Michael exposed her personal secrets in his tunes,
so to make things nice he promised to give her the rights to the songs.
She says she was stunned when MJ died and she was completely left out of his estate.
According to the handwritten lawsuit, Griggs wants $1 billion in damages.
Calls to MJ's Estate weren't returned, but we're guessing their response begins with the letters b and s.

If you google "Kimberly Griggs pics" appears some pics where you can find the MJ's pic posted by TMZ and the girl is not sure who is but could be a fake IDK I do not want to rush to say something wrong :icon_e_geek:

Estate Attorney Talks About Weird Claims.

For many years before his death, Michael Jackson was the target of a ridiculous number of frivolous lawsuits during his career. Now his estate is also seeing a lot of similar activity.
Attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain are the co-executors of the estate, however the primary responsibility for handling legal actions has fallen to attorney Howard Weitzman. He has been dealing with a host of issues including, copyright concerns over Jackson's posthumous songs; charities attempting to use Jackson's name without authority; misleading documentaries and battles over control of the estate. Then, of course, there's the bizarre stuff.
Weitzman was recently interviewed by ABC news about how the estate was coping and here's what he had to say:
HE'S BEEN GONE A YEAR BUT MICHAEL JACKSON MUST BE KEEPING YOU VERY BUSY?
It's been a real roller coaster ride. You have issues on the business front like the "This Is It" film with Sony and the Cirque du Soleil [shows]. The transactional issues are mostly handled by Branca, but because of my unique position, I have the opportunity to look and review these deals. That said, I'm mostly involved on the litigation front, from helping make decisions to pay certain claims from creditors that are meritorious to dealing with the challenges of the appointment of the executors. There's continuing challenges dealing with the Jackson family and we want to make sure the beneficiaries Katherine and the children are treated appropriately
THERE WERE A LOT OF CREDITORS HOUNDING JACKSON AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH. WHAT'S THE STATUS THERE?
A lot of claims we've been able to resolve because they were less than meritorious. Some claims were accepted and paid out. Others may end up at trial. I do expect more lawsuits to be filed in the future because Michael was and still is a big target.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE STRANGEST CLAIMS AGAINST THE JACKSON ESTATE?
Wow, not a week goes by where something strange doesn't happen. There are consistent claims by people claiming to be Michael's wife or child. One lady from the Netherlands kept insisting that she was his daughter. You have to take them seriously when they file claims. There was one woman who claimed $5 million because she wanted to mentor his kids. She insisted she be given a house. She even filed a petition to adopt the children!
HOW DO YOU HANDLE THESE SITUATIONS?
I try not to be rude. I just firmly have to tell them we don't think your claim is meritorious and don't think it would be in your interest to pursue this further. Most of the time it goes away. Of course, some matters just keep coming up, like that lady who says she was the basis for the song "Billie Jean." She's filed numerous times. Sometimes, you just have to laugh. It's amazing what some people are claiming.

There is a lot of rediculous claims going on, I'm wondering if there is a pattern to when they are being publish, after all Mj use the tabloids to remain in the spotlight, what if this is yet another one of those "hey I'm here, don't forget it" type cases????

I also thought the same as the rest of you. Great timing - I guess they need to keep showing the world how people will do anything to try and get something from Michael.

and people are STILL trying to get at his money which is feeding his KIDS and getting them a great EDUCATION and a ROOF over their heads. I havent even read the whole article what I saw was enough and uts disgusting!!!!! Something BETTER happen to this woman legally for purging herself
Unlike in the previous cases MAGICLLY no charges were filed and notbing happen to the families who FABRICATED stories and lied under oath against MJ.

That is what Money does to so many people out there, it's sad. The reason I hate money, it's a means to an end and it causes so many bad things to happen inbetween, what happened to repaying in kind? help for help, someone does your wiring of your house, you offer to wash their clothes or if you have a trade offer to do something using your trade, you can't kill a person for their trade, you can't mug them for their trade it's a simple system which not only ends the unemployment problem with money, it ends a lot of needless suffering and it gives people something to do and most of all, you become a community. Money brings out the worst in most people. that of course is just my honest opinion. Simple things in life are the most precious.

Off topic, sorry had to respond to Leilani81 mention of skill trading in lieu of money: I have been looking into establishing such systmes for the really economically deprived area where I work. There are people doing this and sharing their knowledge on the net--Time Banks USA is one (tho they charge money to have their system)-- there are others who don't charge and you can download their structure for free.........I love and agree with the idea of a lateral economy-- everyone in the community has something of value to contribute- and whether you are a lawyer, or mend fences, an hour of your time is an hour of your time.
Okay back to topic: So we have MJ using TMZ to point to frivilous lawsuits, again............
