Janet Jackson to produce transgender documentary
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Janet Jackson has signed on as an executive producer of a documentary on the lives of transgender people living around the world.
New York-based Brainchild Films announced Monday that Jackson was working on "Truth" and would do some of the on-camera interviews. The documentary begins production this summer and will focus on the lives and struggles of transgender persons.
Jackson writes in a statement that she is working on the project to try to stop discrimination of the transgender community.
The 46-year-old sister of Michael Jackson has starred in several films and won five Grammy Awards.
"Truth" will be directed by Robert Jason, who previously directed a documentary for The Style Network on four transgender New Yorkers. He says "Truth" will feature stories from throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.

There are people who behave in a manner very cruel to these people, they are vistimas taunts and verbal and physical attacks, a couple of days ago was asesinaso one of these people here, already happened several times.

For those interested, youtube is full of diaries of those who changed sex, diaries that took over 3 years. VERY interesting.
I used to watch their updates for both, women and men, who went trough therapy and finally the operation. the videos are loaded since 2007. It is a lot of information out there.

It was one of the most entertaining and educational phases of my work history when a transgender girl worked with me for 12 months. I asked all and any questions, she held nothing back, what surgery was like, the recovery time. We had a blast. She was smart and witty to the extreme. A ton of fun. Pre-surgery, she used to do drag. Some of the male workers were less than civil to her, and one had to be put off because of his hatred and threats. It was very intimidating to witness this type of thing up close and personal. It is no easy road they walk that is for sure.
The original article says they will be interviewing some from Australia. I reckon that will be Carlotta for sure. Tho my friend would be a great candidate also.

Nah... You can see clearly that they're siblings, but they are not that much alike. I do think Michael and Janet look very much alike. But Michael and Marlon and Randy also looked a lot alike in younger years.

Michael as Blond lady, yes. Michael in a hijab, yes. All for purposes of disguise or from prying eyes.
We've discussed this plenty elsewhere that Michael was not the slightest gay and said it, but loved gay people. He loves women 'fish' in 'that' way. He has never shown the slightly inclination that he is not happy to be very male. So why belabor it. Why speculate on something that is not. Why speculate that the sky is green.
I applaud Janet involved in that film. People are who they are because of the natural feelings inside, that want to be expressed and accepted by others.
I worked closely with a transgender for a year. He's a good guy--chatty, funny and compassionate, he got married, they raise 2 foster children. I never knew him as a women but some long-time employees did, and talk goes around occasionally, you know with all the eye rolling , and snickering, etc. I can't imagine the anguish those people must go through to do what they did.

"I would never speak to him again" was an irony directed to MYSELF, because some time in the past I thought I was "talking" to him. You yourself called me "gullible" dozens of time, in public and in private, I thought you of all people would catch my drift LOL!
If you want a serious answer to that question - I would feel a little disappointed because I like him too much as a man. I also do not believe it is the case, in my opinion he was, is and always will be a man.

Janet is making the documentary to increase awareness and decrease discrimination of the transgendered community. We are all here for Michael. The question I posed was rhetorical. People had their own responses--strong or otherwise. That was the purpose of going there.
I never said I thought Michael was transgendered. Being transgendered is not the same as being gay. Being transgendered has to do with self gender identification, regardless of anatomy. Being gay (or bi, or heterosexual, asexual, etc) has to do with target of sexual desire. Transgendered people, transexual people, and people who are not transgendered can be of any sexual orientation.
Pronons in the English language are problematic-- (he, she etc); there is no acceptable nuetral territory: "it" is unacceptable.
I view Michael as being the master of breaking down barriers. Michael already did alot with this in our society with the creation of a more androgynous look.
Sexual identification and orientation still have a long way to go. So check with yourself what your response was to the question (people quickly went to assumption I was "accusing" him of something -?-).
And for people in our lives who are struggling with society's non-accepting stance of who they ARE, will YOU be there?

Way back in 2009 I did "see" MJ as a woman in some dreams of mine. However, it was just a representation of his feminine side, imo.
One could say that Michael is a man who played a lot with his androgyny looks and I believe that he did so in order to not exclude any gender from his art.

My friend & I flip houses, & our electrician was "James" & now he's "Jamie", & has had the operation & is around the same age as myself. You would hardley even know it was a guy except for the slight deep voice. She has curves, in all the right places, & look better than most women I know.
