Title: Prosecution of the Balloon Dad - what now for the hoax
Post by: the arabian nights on December 25, 2009, 05:44:41 PM
I read yesterday that the Balloon boy parents have been convicted in the US for the Hoax, what now for the MJ hoax. I have read or seen a vid that there would be no consequences to MJ if he shows up after the Hoax.

The Balloon boy parent's prosecution is concerning?

Hmm maybe it's because there was a child in the story.

Its because they cost the government so much money with the search..And their hoax was to profit from it..but also they made their 6yr old kid lie..
Now with MJ apparently because the estate took care of most things and it wasnt for insurance he will not be charged..
He can always come back but not to the USA  i think... I remember a good youtube video where someone actually researched this fully... i will see if i can find it and post it.. It was that hoax video guy that talks on the video alot that posted it!!!!!

Thanks your contributions are most welcome.

This is issue is a concern for me, I do think that there is a real risk of prosecution, are there any US criminal lawyers or law students out there?

I'm sure Michael knows best in what he got into and maybe he's on the C.I.A. list...hoaxing your death has to be well prepaired...that "balloon" incident was made by an amateur family that's why it became so "unprofessional"..and charges were made especially when it's a minor involved.

Sometimes things are not planned sometimes, opportunity presents its self and you just go for it and then you sit back and wonder if that was the right decision?

I wonder, like i wonder who was it they cut up?

As I'm totally convinced that a hoax of this dimension is IMPOSSIBLE without help from authorities, I'm not worried about him being convicted for anything. He'd probably have to pay for some services a lot of money.
If they aren't involved, he'll probably end up in jail. Everything has gone too far. There's no way anymore he could say the media just spread the false news.

I still think technically Michael hasnt done anything illegal. It cant be illegal to be in hiding, its not Michael who hoaxed his death but his family who made it seem that way while Michael just decided to live in privacy and not address the fact that he is still alive. The pressconference with Jermaine was legal, UCLA has not done anything wrong because they never said Michael was pronounced dead there.

The ambulance, if that was Michaels ambulance, if the 911 call was prerecorded with fake paramedics, no sirens, no emergency, technically nothing illegal was being done here either. The same goes for the memorial service, everyone came in memory of Michael, dead or alive.

Michael has not touched or used his lifeinsurance either so no crime has been committed and technically that kind of profit has not been made. The only profit they've made are skyrocketing record sales and stuff like that.

It's my day job that leads me to ask these questions ... sorry we have to talk about everything and when all the anomolies and what ifs are dispelled then we are left with the truth.

So do i dare to ask the next question, you will shoot me down, i don't know if i have the strength?

I think the problem with balloon boy is that Government money was spent on the investigation and rescue effort of the boy... police and rescue services had their time and money wasted.
