In the video..."Trutanich said the probe into the use of taxpayer resources during the Michael Jackson Memorial Tribute at Staples Center had taken an UNANTICIPATED TURN THAT RAISES BOTH CICIL AND CRIMINAL ASPECTS..." that to me is indeed VERY INTERESTING  :mrgreen:

i'm sure i read somwhere that Michaels estate was paying for the security / police that day of the memorial..

well if this is the case then they are not paying up.. it amazes me how Michael can get into trouble for all these things when he's supposidly DE*D..

i love these videos.. so interesting and helpful.. just hope you keep us on the ride if you come across anything with a WOW factor..  :lol:  ;)

Now.. the issue of the taxpayer paying for the memorial is a tricky one.

I know the argument is that it brought business into the area and that this therefore brought money back into LA, etc...

I am not sure whether MJ paid for police expenses that occured when he gave speeches, etc...  but certainly for his concerts the security and policing would have been paid for by him (or his company)
I can compare this in the UK to football matches.. when a football match is policed by the UK police then the football club pays for that, not the taxpayer.
