It wasn't her husband...it was her boyfriend.

But to me, this is comparing apples and oranges. People assume Patrick McDermott hoaxed his death after he disappeared from his boat in 2005. No one claimed he was dead. No body was found. No coroner involvement. No death certificates (not even fake ones). The search for him was called off by the U.S. Coast Guard and he is presumed dead. He might very well be alive, but no one knows. And again, the whole thing is apples and oranges.
