MICHAEL JACKSON’S family is bringing joy to his three children by celebrating a traditional Christmas, even though most of their relatives shun the Christian holiday.
Grandmother and guardian Katherine Jackson, 79, is a devout Jehovah’s Witness. But a source said yesterday: “She’s determined to give Michael’s kids a normal time.”
And Jackson’s brother Jermaine, 55, who converted to Islam, is allowing his two youngest children, Jaafar, 13, and Jermajesty, nine, to join in the festivities.
They have become “extremely close” to Michael’s children Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, seven, since the legend died six months ago.
A tree was delivered to the family compound in the LA suburb of Encino last week.

there is NOWAY on this earth would Katherine celebrate christmas!! NOWAY if shes a devout jehovas witness.. my aunt an uncle are an this is a NO NO.. they would have a toy day or like MJ's home movies a day for that person but definatly NO TREE!! even for the kids she wouldn't do it.. or shouldn't do in the jehovas witness faith!!
its a false celebration in there eyes!! i'd watch out for that one!! i smell Michael!! :)

I AGREE ABOUT THAT BECAUSE I JOINED THE JEHOVAHWITNESSES FOR YEARS BECAUSE MY EX HUSBAND IS A WITNESS AND THEY ABSOLUTALY WILL NOT HAVE A CHRISTMASTREE IN THEIR HOUSE ..NO WAY ....SO IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MICHAELS RETURN FOR CHRISTMAS I BELIEVE :o BY THE WAY I AM NOT A JEHOVAH WITNESS I JUST STUDIED FOR A WHILE TO FIND OUT ABOUT THEM BUT I DONT LIKE THEIR RULES AT ALL...ITS WAY TO STRICT...

she will let the kids celebrate. it doesn't mean she will celebrate too..

Ok here's my thought:
Regardless of whether Katherine is going to join in on the celebration or not, at least the children are going to have a Christmas that they are use to. It doesn't mean that MJ is going to be there with them (I'd REALLY like that though!!!!), it just means that the children are still going to do things as they have done when they were living by themselves with their Dad. I think that it is very sweet of Katherine to let this go on in her home if it is against her religion. I don't know much about JW but I do know that they are very strict on what they will and will not do. I'm not Christian, and I celebrate Christmas and every other Christian holdiday for my children. They love it and I can not deny them that.
On a side note:
Ah wouldn't it be great, to sit by the tree with MJ. I would make sure there were plenty of super-soakers under the tree for him and the children to play with! ***Just daydreaming of course***
Just my thought of course.

I wish Katharine had give Michael these kind of concessions when he was a child. :(

Having been a Jehovah's witness as a child there's nothing worse for a child to go without (Christmas tree in the home, presents, etc.). As a child you don't understand why. It was terrible.

EXACTLY!! this is the point i was making!! also wasn't the kids pictured with the JW bible in a car park or something like that!!
i just don't believe Katherine would have a tree just for the kids.. not is she's a devout JW.. no matter how much you love them, JW's do not sway on their religion.. like if someone needed a blood transfusion they would refuse it!!
HONESTLY!! i questioned my uncle for ages on this due to the lack of emotion from the family i thought it was a JW thing!! cos of what they believe happens when you die.. but its not they said they still mourn after a loved one!!
