Title: Orianthi /Mariah and Janet credits
Post by: neverlandprincess on December 18, 2009, 02:11:58 PM
So I got it today and went to the aknowedgements (the same place I went to with Janets Number Ones) to see if there is a mention of MJ. Sadly there is. "Michael Jackson-Such and Icon and wonderful person,I am so grateful I was able to play music with you;I have amazing memories that will be with me forever. You have left us too soon,R.I.P"
 Thoughts?

I understand nothing...
But if it a Hoax (I believe) then it must be realistic.
She cannot write the next sometimes we allow to crash again together MJ

She is not his close friend .. I do not believe that she knew for a hoax.. She respect him and because of that she wrote a dedication

I was not saying it proved he was dead-but sometimes we have discussed the dancers etc. being in on the hoax or maybe knowing (because of certain things being said or not said by them, their tweets, their actions, the memorial...SO...please I hope nobody was upset but we do need to acknowledge when one of them finally does make a note like this. P.S. Janet didnt mention him in the acknowledgements of her cd unless I overlooked it,if anybody wondered.

Neverlandprincess,
It is weird that Janet didn't mention/acknowledge MJ in her newest album.....but Orianthi has. I agree with the other posters that this may imply that Orianthi is not aware of the hoax.....or if she is she is only thanking him out of gratitude. Personally, if it wasn't for MJ I never would have known who Orianthi is. I am glad you are perceptive and are checking out the album covers/inserts for clues. Oh, as an aside, I was checking the Derek Clontz "Cassandra" website and someone had wrote in asking about the titles of Orianthi's songs and when you read them out in order it was like a summary of a story that perhaps made reference to MJ?!?!? However, it appears that Derek and Cassandra have fallen off the face of the earth as no responses have been posted since mid November. Do you see anything suspicious in the the song track titles and the order of them?  Thanks.

Have not looked reall yet-I did read the lyrics to Believe though. It is about a broken relationship and I really cant reconcile it with MJ (yet) but she does say the line "I thought  this is it

NeverlandPrincess,
Please keep us posted. I don't have the Orianthi CD or the new Janet CD so don't have the ability to analyze these potential clues. I find it quite interesting that Orianthi would use any terminology even referring to the movie "This Is it".  For me, that alone is suspicious.  I can't wait to hear what you have to report after you have fully looked through the entire insert. Thanks again.

@Michaelsupporter(love your username btw) I will listen and look at it tonight. In a way I dont think she is in on it. Like you said if she is it would be her way of thanking him-like you said who ever heard of her before. She has another album from before but who ever saw it? She is very talented and pretty and I liked her voice at the memorial. I am gonna look at the Janet album again (I have done it at least three times but I wanna be  sure I am not overlooking something. I just think it odd that Michael was her biggest influence ,or at least she said that in her younger years, and big brother and in a retrospective album containing the only duet they ever did that she would not at least pretend to say something.

Ok so I have listened to it..and will continue to do so because I  LOVE IT! However there is nothing that sounds like a "message" or anything cryptic or myserious. Think Kelly Clarkson steals Kenny Wayne Shepards guitar and splices the two worlds.  The songs are mostly relationship/break up/moving on songs. The song "Believe" is basically saying "I still believe in love and that there is more" kind of song. I was wrong she doesn't say "I thought this is it" she says "I actualy thought this was it". The song God Only Knows almost made me cry because I have been so severly depressed this week(-I dont know if it is due to being on this form since July or if its the stress at home or if its just the holidays or even all or any of those things) but the song did make me think of MJ,and I suppose only female fans of MJ could understand that. (not being able to let go and continuing to hold on not being able to see through tears etc etc) THINK LIKE A MAN! skip to that song ...it rocks the house and this is a great cd. I am glad she acknowledged Michael in the back ,it was very endearing since he is the reason we know Orianthi.
