Vienna - The Michael Jackson tribute concert in London that was scheduled for next June has been cancelled, as the show's Austrian organizer announced Friday that is being liquidated. Promoter Georg Kindel and his now-defunct company World Awards Media and Jackson's brother Jermaine had already disappointed European fans in summer by first announcing a Vienna tribute concert for September and then cancelling it because of a lack of stars and funds.

World Awards Media's majority owner, Vienna-based consumer fund Superfund, issued a press release on behalf of Kindel's company, saying that it would be dissolved.

After the failed Vienna show, Jermaine Jackson said London would be the ideal concert location because that was where Michael Jackson had planned to stage his comeback concerts.

Jackson died from medication overdose in June, shortly before the scheduled London performances.

Georg Kindl ,was staying about monat with Jermain, he lived with him.
After Vienna became a tribute nothing...

This isn't surprising at all. In all honesty has Jermaine ever been able to pull off any venue that he planned? No, because he doesn't have the clout in the industry like MJ. He never made a name for himself like MJ and Janet. Aside from the fact that many MJ fans are coming to terms with closure for those that have accepted that he's gone. The general masses that accepted what the media/tabloids said outweigh those few that believe MJ's death was all a HOAX. Who knows if there will ever be another Tribute Show? Keep the Faith!

It was reported that La Toya planned a tribute concert in Brasil, but it was canceled too. Why do they plan and cancel tribute concerts all the time??? :?

I wonder that too :shock: ...This man deserve one hell of a tribute...the biggest tribute,I mean,he has raised the bar so high..... Michael comeback and make your own tribute concert :mrgreen:

its so obvious theres no tribute because theres no one to tribute for lol hes alive when i heard london was cancelled my heart sank then i laughed and thought if hes alive thats why they messin about hes probs behind the curtain controllin it all hes a perfectionist after all and if its not right then he scraps it and starts again right.....

I agree with you all...you can only have a tribute concert for someone who is not living and I 100% think he is still alive, Jermain was just trying to do this for his own benefit
