Michael Jackson was a legend – one of the world's most successful singers and an amazing dancer too. Tonight, to celebrate the greatest performer in the history of pop, who died earlier this year, BBC Three begins the search for the UK's best dance act – someone who can move as well as Michael in his prime.Hosted by Reggie Yates, this unique contest has dancers battling it out to win an amazing opportunity – to perform with the world's superstars at the Michael Jackson official tribute concert in 2010. Dance Experts travel from the streets of Glasgow to the playing fields of Cardiff and from the bus stops of Manchester to the shopping malls of London to find the UK's best dancers.Solo performers, duos and crews all attempt to dance their way to a place in the studio shows, but first they have to impress legendary choreographer Lavelle Smith Junior, who worked with Michael for more than 20 years, and Mark Summers, who had been tasked with finding the UK's most talented dancers for Michael Jackson's This Is It tour. The best are invited to call backs – it's their final chance to win a place in the studio shows and perform for Jermaine Jackson – Michael's brother – as well as singer Jamelia.
Reggie goes to America to meet those who worked with Michael and find out exactly why he was the king of dance. The day starts with 25 acts, but only eight will make it through to the studio shows.
Monday 14 December
9.30-10.30pm BBC THREE

Thanks for posting. I have seen it advertised on TV with clips of ordinary people in the street breaking into MJs dancing style but I didn't know when it was on. Should be good but of course no-one can dance like the man himself! Not likely at all and totally preposterous but only dreaming-wouldn't it be great if MJ disguised himself and entered and won!!
Or even more presposterous entered and didn't win! (Charlie Chaplin in fact lost a Charlie Chaplin lookalike competition!)

Does anyone else think this is just Jermaine commercializing his brother's death, it's neverending. The whole family actually seems to have been re-awakened and are now using MJ's name and image to profit where they clearly could not before! Everything is done 'In Michael's Memory' but really it's just publicity for themselves. I mean why would Jermaine's Mumbai song feature MJ's Silhouette on a wall in the background and children wearing MJ face masks! How could any of this be explained other than it is commercialisation? Can't wait to see what's next...

I agree 100% with you.
It makes me angry and sad at the same time to see how Jermain and also his brothers are in the middle of the spotlights now. It almost seems like they have the time of their life to me ...
But I also have to admit that I also will watch these shows.
In the Netherlands it comes in spring.

I agree with QuirkyDiana!
It's sad to see that Jermaine is using Michael's name to make money!
I don't understand! A parfume, A reality show, this programme on BBC3.
I saw this yesterday on BBC3 and Jermaine seems so... happy! It's incomprehensible! really!
6 months after his death (if he's really dead), shame on you Jermaine.

They are not "moving like Michael Jackson" Some of them are breakdancing. Since when has Michael done that? he didn't need to-his dancing was good enough without all that. The programme made me cringe. Is absolute BS! Why are they using Michaels name when is just a dance competition. Good to tell Jermaine is involved!! I was really disappointed with it. :(

I know that I will not be able to view this program where I live. The program does not seem like it is very good by some of the comments here. No one can dance like our angel, MJ. MJ, baby, you are one of a kind. :D
