Something odd about oil spill in Gulf..

I thought this deserved its own thread.

My sister just emailed me and asked me if I knoew about the media blackout on the oil spill. I said no and asked her what she meant. She emailed me back with the following comment...word for word. Im just going to cut and paste from her email:


Well I was just talking with 1 of our guys here at work. He said there was a ship that sank near that oil rig. No one is talking about the people that died on the ship. That rig is owned by s korea and there is talk that a missle hit it. think about it mary - not one have they mentioned any deaths or anything. Only that's its catastrophic to the environment

In the news here in Australia, there is coverage every day about the effects of the spill on the environment and today we saw Obama's speech about whatever it takes to control it and look after the people affected. Please keep us updated. Was it a sth Korean ship hit by a nth korean missile or who else would it have been firing ?

I have heard slight speculation on Fox News that it may not have been an accident.  My husband has received an email from a friend also stating he did not believe it was an accident.  People are suspicious.

  Obama wants his Cap and Trade bill to go thru which would basically do away with coal mining and we have four mine disasters in the world within one month of each other?  The owner of the coal mine in WV was running adds against Obama's Cap and Trade bill up until the mine explosion that killed 29 men.  After the explosion the adds have stopped.  The Mine owner came out and said they took gas levels just a few minutes before the explosion and everything was normal.  He wants to do an independant investigation other than the government.  The administration immediately starting blaming the mine owner for the explosion just hours after it happened.

Obama wants all off shore drilling to stop to drive up fuel prices (these are his own words) and now there is an oil rig explosion just off our shores in the gulf that is going to cost billions of dollars?  There are many people that are very suspicious of all these coincidences in the past couple of months.  

He is using fear tactics to heard the sheep right into the pen he wants them in.  We need to wake people up!

Thanks for posting this! You know what?!! I knew something was strange! I knew something about this oil spill wasn't right and I am not surprised they contrived this all up for their own personal agenda. It's ashame.  People have died and nothing was said about it.  This really is sickening!  :twisted:   Guess what? Glad you pointed this out. When I listened to his speech. I just shook my head.  It's another agenda. Gosh people!

Yep he seems to cause fear in people. If something looks like its not going to go his way then BAM..something happens to make people fear.
He mentioned controlling the banks and Wall street and no one wanted to do that, then all of a sudden, Goldman Sachs is busted for duping investors. How about that!

Do we seriously have 2 1/2 more yrs until the next election?

Funny thing there...I had heard about the incident on Coast to Coast AM firsthand when the show came on (and may have heard about it on the local station's newsbreak), about the possiblitity of people dying there, as I remember, and that wa s pretty much the last I've heard. from that point on, all the news spoke about was the oil spill: more focus on the spill and less on the people it seems.  :?  :?

You guys have a point! The news has not focused much on the people that have died. I've heard about the possibilities of casualities also on World News Tonight, ONCE and that's it I think.  :x  :cry:

I am not sure but I think it is 11 bodies that were not found.

Edit:  I just checked Fox News.  They report 11 deaths on the rig.  None of the bodies were recovered.  I didn't see anything about a near by boat.  I will search some more.

I did not know that.  So, people died near the oil rig and no one's talking about it???  I knew something was fishy about the oil spill, but I didn't think that people had been killed.  May they rest in peace.

I have to look in to the Cap and Trade Bill.  I'm not very familiar with it.

My daughter's best friend's father (sorry best way to describe him) works on an oil rig in the gulf.  The rig he was on is 20 miles from where the BP rig exploded.  He said they could see the explosion from where they were.  He said it was terrible.  They immediately sent boats over to help but the flames were so bad they could not get very close.  Jay said it was the worst thing he has ever seen.
